    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the efficient reception of each data stream by transmitting overhead information. SOLUTION: A base station transmits many data streams on many data channels (MLC). The MLCs are transmitted at different times and on different frequency sub-bands. The overhead information represents a time-frequency position of each MLC, and is sent as "composite" overhead information and "embedded" overhead information. The composite overhead information represents the time-frequency positions of all the MLCs and is periodically sent in each superframe. A radio device receives the composite overhead information, determines the time-frequency position of each MLC and receives each MLC at the represented time-frequency position. The embedded overhead information of each MLC represents the time-frequency position of an MLC in the next superframe and is transmitted together with a payload of the MLC in the current superframe.
