    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for installing a long periodic wave height reducing structure in a port to be installed in a sea bottom position for further effectively reducing the wave height.
      SOLUTION: A wave field calculation is made by taking into consideration a long periodic wave in the port, and a position of a node of an overlapping wave of the long periodic wave is grasped from the wave height distribution of a long periodic wave component in a calculation result of its wave field. Arrangement to the water bottom of a water permeable wave dissipating structure consuming energy by passing a water particle is designed with the position of its node as a standard. The wave height reducing effect of the long periodic wave is verified by making the wave field calculation in the port when installing the water permeable wave dissipating structure in a planned position based on the design. When recognizing the wave height reducing effect, installation of the water permeable wave dissipating structure is determined on that position, and the water permeable wave dissipating structure is installed.
