The suction muffler 151 includes: a hood section 160 provided in the vicinity of the opening portion 159, formed to extend toward the inside of the sealed container 101, and configured to collect cooling medium gas discharged from the suction pipe 107; and an auxiliary hood 163 fastened to the hood section 160 and formed in a manner to increase a collection area of the hood section 160.

Also, flatness of the sheet surface is maintained by reducing shape distortion when heated. Thereby, a compressor with high efficiency and low noise can be provided by preventing input increase and start-up failure of the compressor caused by the peeling-off or falling of resin such as a case in which a resin valve seat is used, while securing a cooling medium circulation amount.
