摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermostat shielded from the ambient condition and operating efficiently by generating a sufficient heat quantity with the resistor of a separator located between a first blade and a contact point when the first blade is moved from a first position kept in contact with the contact point to a second position separated from the contact point, and keeping the first blade at the second position until a load current is removed. SOLUTION: A first blade 14 is fixed to a case 12, a second blade 20 is moved, and its inner end section 24 is brought into contact with the inner end section 18 of the first blade 14. When the inside of a thermostat reaches the prescribed open-circuit forming temperature, the inner end section 24 of the second blade 20 is moved in the direction of an arrow A and separated. A resistor is provided between a conductive pad on a first face in a separator 36 and a conductive pad on a second face. When the inner end section of the second blade 20 is moved to a second position, a sufficient heat quantity is generated by the resistor, and the second blade 20 is kept at the second open position until a load current is removed. The thermostat is finally cooled and reset by itself.
