    • PURPOSE:To joining transparent substrates across a uniform gap and to obtain a projection image with superior resolution by making the coefficient of thermal expansion of the transparent substrate which seals a write side smaller than that of the transparent substrate which seals a read side. CONSTITUTION:The 1st transparent substrate A which is arranged on the write side and the 2nd transparent substrate B which is arranged on the read side are sealed with thermosetting resin 22 at high temperature with liquid crystal orienting films 4 and 3 in while the proper gap is held by spacers 2. The coefficient alphaB of thermal expansion of the substrate B is larger than the coefficient alphaA of the substrate A, so the substrate B absorbs the curvature of the substrate A which is generated at the time of the filming of a-Si in addition to the thermal expansion of the substrate A which is caused at the time of heating and the thermosetting resin 22 is solidified in this state, so that while the substrates A and B are united after being cooled, the external abutting surface of a fiber plate 11 is corrected into a plane. Consequently, the photoconduction type liquid crystal light valve which forms a projection image with superior resolution while the gap is uniformed is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To maintain a high erasion rate by forming a thin film having a magnetic permeability on the joint surface generated on the opposite surface of a front gap which becomes a magnetic gap of an erasing head, at the time of joining a center core and a side core. CONSTITUTION:A groove 9 which becomes a winding window 5, a slant face 10 for filling the glass 15, and a groove 11 for readjusting an erasion width are worked in a side core block 7 which becomes a side core 3. After polishing a butt surface 12 to a center core 4, a joint part to the center core 4 is covered with a mask 13, and in the remaining part, a metallic compound soft magnetic thin film 14 is formed by vapor-deposition, etc. Subsequently, both right and left side faces of a center core block 8 which becomes the center core 4 are polished and superposed on the side core block 7, and they are joined by making the glass 15 flow into a gap of the same thickness as the thin film 14 between both of them, the grove 11, and the slant face 10. Both the blocks 7, 8 which have been joined in this way are sliced to a necessary thickness after executing the curved surface working of a tape passing surface, and an erasing head block is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To avoid increasing the forming width of a magnetic gap which is caused by the stress applied during a process and to improve the magnetic characteristics for a magnetic head, by forming comb-shaped grooves to a core block and annealing the core block while applying the pressure from outside. CONSTITUTION:Numbers of track width control grooves 1a2 and 1b2 are formed on the tip counter faces of core forming elements 1a and 1b. The nonmagnetic material layers 2a and 2b are formed on the gap forming surfaces of the elements 1a and 1b and soldered with a silver solder foil 3, etc. held between the layers 2a and 2b. Then comb-shaped grooves 5 are formed at a track part 4 between the grooves 1a2 and 1b2, and the forming part of a magnetic gap 1c at the tip of the elements 1a and 1b respectively is annealed while receiving the pressure from outside. Such core block 1 is cut and separated to be finished with a prescribed thickness and to obtain a magnetic head.
