    • PURPOSE:To execute a video reproducing system having a multiple function at low costs by using a picture memory used for synchronizm converting processing at the time of special reproduction for the other video signal processing at the time of normal reproduction. CONSTITUTION:When the special reproduction such as still picture reproduction and double speed reproduction, switching circuits 11, 12 and 13 are switched on a fixed terminal (a) side, and the synchronization converting processing is used with the use of a picture memory 9. Thus, a video signal, whose synchronizing signal is discontinuous due to a track jump operation, can be converted into that whose synchronizing signal is continuous. When the normal reproduction is executed, the switching circuits 11, 12 and 13 are switched on a fixed terminal (b) side, the picture memory 9 is connected to a noise decreasing circuit 14, and used for the delay memory of a circular type noise decreasing circuit. Consequently, without using the special memory, the video reproducing system having the multiple function can be formed at the low costs.

Thus, the track jumping operation of the pickup means can be stably and securely executed with the simple constitution and the converging of the information reading point of the pickup means can be speedily executed to the track after the jumping.

CONSTITUTION:A time-axis error signal including an extremely-high-frequency component which can not be prevented by a tangential mirror 11 is supplied to the control input terminal of a variable delay line 13 which delays the output of a demodulator 2 through a capacitor C. Therefore, the signal delay time of the variable delay line 13 varies under the open-loop control so that variation in time-axis error which has an extremely small amplitude which can not be removed by the tangential mirror 11, but has an extremely high frequency is canceled. Therefore, the variation in the time-axis error of the video signal outputted from the variable delay line 13 is prevented to reduce the steady deviation between the phase of the color burst and that of the reference chrominance subcarrier sufficiently.
