    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a special crane for a tunnel, which has a hoist rail arranged between a shield machine main body and trailing carriages so as to be located higher at a front portion and located lower at a rear portion, wherein the hoist rail is bendable according to inclination or curvature of the tunnel without employing a spherical universal joint, and wherein the hoist rail does not cause slippage of trolleys, to thereby enable smooth traveling of the special crane.
      SOLUTION: According to the structure of the special crane, a vertically bendable portion M and a laterally bendable portion N are serially arranged on a rear horizontal portion 20c of the hoist rail, and a transmission chain 28 is fixed along a lower surface of the hoist rail. At this time, the transmission chain 28 is partially sagged at a location below the vertically bendable portion N to form a sag portion 28b, and a curve chain 28a interposed in part of the transmission chain 28 is laterally bendably arranged at a location below the laterally bendable portion M, whereby the hoist is moved by a chain sprocket engageable with the transmission chain 28.
