    • PURPOSE:To ensure quick and accurate editing of a video disk, by reproducing the record contents of the 1st disk through a multi-head to store them to plural registers respectively and then extracting selectively the stored record contents to record them to the 2nd disk. CONSTITUTION:The record contents of plural tracks of the 1st disk 11 are read out by a multi-head 21 and stored to registers 23A, 23B... for each track. These stored contents are delivered selectively by a switching circuit 28 which is controlled via an address deisgnating switch 14, a controller 24 and a selector 25 and then recorded to the 2nd disks 12A, 12B... which are designated by heads 27A, 27B... selected by a disk selection switch 15. Thus the desired data among those of tracks read out by the mutli-head is immediately recorded just by a setting operation of a switch. This ensures quick and accurate editing of a video disk.

Accordingly, the objective lens can be brought to a driving control stably in the focusing direction and the tracking direction.

Since the coils 15-17 are flattened and arranged effectively in the free space, the device can be made small in size, and the performance of the optical head can be improved.
