    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut capable of exerting a strong pressing force on a screw shaft for locking it after fastening the screw shaft with a prescribed torque. SOLUTION: The outer peripheral surface of a nut main body 1 having a tapped hole 2 threadedly engaged with a screw shaft is divided into an engaging part 3 with which a fastening tool engages and a circular lock part 4 formed on an end edge in a bearing surface side. A lock ring 5 with circular inner peripheral surface is externally fitted to the lock part 4. The lock part 4 is provided with a lock piece 8 defined by a lengthwise slit 6 which reaches the tapped hole 2 in the direction along the axis of the tapped hole 2 and a sideward slit 7 which reaches the tapped hole 2 in the direction transverse the axis of the tapped hole 2 with an end connected to the lengthwise slit 6. Before the nut main body 1 is fastened to the inner surface of the lock ring 5, the lock ring 5 is located in the end side of the lock piece 8. After the nut main body is fastened to the inner surface of the lock ring, the lock ring 5 is rotated. Thus, a protrusion 9, is provided. which engages with the outer peripheral surface of the u lock piece 8 and presses the lock piece to the screw shaft. Accordingly, a locked state in which the nut main body is not loosened and an unlocked state in which the nut main body can be freely threadedly engaged with the screw shaft can be selected depending on the rotating position of the lock ring 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monkey wrench excellent in the operating easiness, free from loosening of the lower jaw part, and capable of moving the lower jaw smoothly and quickly. SOLUTION: The body 1 of a monkey wrench is furnished at its forefront with an upper jaw 2 formed in a single piece with the wrench body 1 and a lower jaw slide groove 3 in which a lower jaw 4 is fitted slidably as capable of contacting with and separating from the upper jaw 2, and a slide part 5 provided on the back face of the lower jaw 4 is positioned in a hatch 6 formed in the wrench body 1, and a fixing groove 9 consisting of recesses in stages parallel up and down is formed at the back face of the slide part 5 positioned within the hatch 6. A metal fixture 11 furnished at the side faces with projections to be fitted in the groove 9 is stored in the hatch 6 rotatably, and it is made practicable for the projection on the metal fixture 11 to be disengaged from the recess of the groove 9 by rotating the metal fixture 11, and the gap generated between the undersurface of the metal fixture 11 and the hatch in the condition that the projection is fitted in the recess, is filled with a gap adjusting member 13 so as to eliminate a play of the metal fixture 11 in the hatch, and thereby the lower jaw 4 is prevented from loosening.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod material 1 and a connecting structure of rod material 1 assuring simple connection operation, having higher strength of connecting portion and having no stepped portion at the connecting portion and particularly a rod material 1 and a connection structure of the rod material 1 that can be used adequately as a wiring guide. SOLUTION: In a connection structure of a rod material 1 for connecting the rod materials 1 by forming a connecting hole 3 to the end of one rod material 1 and forming, at the end of the other rod material 1, a projected connecting part to be inserted to the connection hole 3, the connecting hole 3 and the cross-section of the projected connecting part 4 are formed in the square shape, a key groove 5 crossing the projected connecting part 4 is formed at the upper surface of the projected connecting part 4, a fixing key 6 that can be moved vertically to be removed for the key groove 5 of the projected connecting part 4 is provided within the connection hole 3, and a rock knob 11 is provided in the connecting hole 3 to push downward the fixing key 6 and holding the fixing key 6 to the condition where the key is inserted to the key groove 5, whereby the rod material 1 can be connected simply and strongly to form a stepped portion even at the connecting portion.
