    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide signal transmission path abnormality caused by a connection failure, etc., of a connector means with a simple configuration in a connection type sensor system provided with a sensor unit string for bidirectionally transmitting data with a bucket-brigade method through the connector means and a communication unit for connecting one of sensor unit strings to a network of an FA system. SOLUTION: Sensor units are respectively provided with a two-way communication means. On the other hand, the communication unit side is provided with the number of connected sensor units information holding means for holding the number of connected sensor units information which is optionally set in advance, and an abnormality deciding means for sequentially designating each sensor unit to transmit a particular command, meanwhile, counts the number of connected sensor units in accordance with the existence/nonexistence of a prescribed response to the particular command, and decides signal transmission path abnormality of the sensor unit string on the basis of collation of the counted number of connected sensor units with the preheld number of connected sensor units information.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection type sensor system for accurately monitoring a light receiving quantity level of a photoelectronic sensor with a fixed condition. SOLUTION: Each sensor unit has a connector means for signal transmission between adjacent sensor units, a two-way communication means for two-way data communication between the adjacent sensor units, a light projecting and receiving means for object detection, a light receiving quantity current value generating and holding means for generating a representative value of a light receiving quantity level for on and/off term and holding the representative value while updating the representative value as a light receiving quantity current value at appropriate update timing, and a command correspondence processing means for returning a light receiving quantity current value held at the point of that time as a response to a particular command to an adjacent photoelectronic sensor unit on a command arriving side through the two-way communication means when the particular command received from a sensor unit of one adjacent side through the two-way communication means designates a self- machine, and transmitting the command to a photoelectronic sensor unit on the other adjacent side through the two-way communication means when the command does not designate the self-machine.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the working efficiency of the servicing work and maintenance work of a device body which must be detached for servicing and maintenance even the device body is attached in a worse work environment, by making the device body detachable from a rail without using any tool. SOLUTION: This attaching structure for an attached object is constituted to detachably attach a device body 1 to a rail 20 provided on the fixing side, by hooking the rail inserting groove section 2 of the body 1 on the rail 20. An engaging claw section which is engaged with the lower edge section 20B of the rail 20 is provided in the lower wall section of the groove section 2, at the same time, a movable piece sliding section 8 is provided on the backside of the body 1 on the upper wall section side of the groove section 2, and a movable piece 3 having an engaging claw section 13 which is engaged with the upper edge section 20A of the rail 20 is slidably provided in the sliding section 8. The engaging claw section 13 is protruded into the rail inserting groove section 2 by biasing the movable piece 3 toward the groove section 2 by means of a spring member 4.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection type sensor system capable of automatically allocating an address of a sensor unit string without separating a communication unit from a network by resetting only a power source of the sensor unit string with the power source of the communication unit turned on. SOLUTION: Sensor units are respectively provided with an automatic address allocating means which allocates a prescribed address to a self-machine and subsequently transmits the prescribed address as a reference address to an adjacent machine when the self-machine is recognized as an end part machine of a particular side of a sensor unit string by communication with both adjacent machines right after power source resetting, meanwhile, waits for a reference address to arrive from an adjacent machine, calculates an address of the self- machine on the basis of the reference address to allocate the address and also transmits the address as a reference address to the adjacent machine of the opposite side when the self-machine is recognized as a halfway machine of the sensor unit string or the end part machine of the other side, and the connection type sensor system is furthermore provided with a sensor string power source resetting means for resetting the power supply of the sensor unit string while keeping the power source of the communication unit turned on.
