摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance the conveying capacity by releasing catching of a long continuous chip so as to eliminate a trouble caused by jamming of the chip. CONSTITUTION:A pressing member 13 composed of a plurality of movable scrapers 14, for pressing a continuous chip C against an endless belt 7 is provided in an inclined part 6b of a conveyer frame 6. The continuous chip C caught by a part of the conveyer frame 6 is held on its free end side between the movable scrapers 14 and the endless belt 7, and is pulled in its conveying direction in association with the circulation of the endless belt 7 so that the catching is compulsorily released. Since the movable scrapers 14 are turned in the direction of the circulation of the endless belt 7, thereby it is possible to prevent occurrence of such a risk that excessive force is exerted to the movable scrapers 14 and the endless belt 7 by the caught chip C.

Thus, at the time of controlling the a rotary driving mechanism and moving mechanism of the tool 6 and the moving mechanism of the lower tool rest 4 to work a cam shaft and a polygon shaft of a work, a key way and a shaft portion of the work are worked by the upper tool rest 3 of a composite Y-axis working lathe, and at the time of working the cam shaft and the polygon shape, the lower tool rest 4 having the non- circular turning means is used.
