    • PURPOSE:To enable high-speed printing to be performed under a simple structure by making a plurarity of nozzle carry out print work in each backward and forward part of action trip and providing an inclination opposite to a chaser-shaped deflection electrode to eliminate a print tilt and sharing an electric charge control part. CONSTITUTION:If data equivalent to four different colors are inputted to an input part 21, first data equivalent to two different colors are inputted to a simple-line buffer memory 231, 232 to store characters in a register 241, 242 one by one starting with a character at the head of a line. Thus an address of a character ROM261, 262 is designated. In addition, a printing direction designating part 22 designates the input of characters at the head of a line in a memory 231, 232 and at the same time, designates a ''forward'' on a feed control part 29. The part 22 also actuates a column counter 25 and designates a column for a character ROM261, 262 to carry out a two-color printing in a ''forward'' direction through a shift register 271, 272 and an electric charging circuit 281, 282. Next, in the same manner, the remaining two-color data are input for two- color printing in a ''backward'' direction at a designation issued by the printing direction designating part 22. Thus it is not necessary to have circuits for all required color assortments provided and is possible to perform high-speed printing at low cost.

    • PURPOSE:To perform high speed recording with high quality without the difference in arriving times on recording paper, by providing a plurality of supply holes at the opposite positions with respect to jetting holes at both ends in the line direction, and supplying ink to an ink chamber from said supply holes. CONSTITUTION:The ink is supplied to the ink chamber 31 in a nozzle 3 from the supply holes 33a and 33b at both ends by using two ink pipes 2a and 2b from an ink supply system 1. Of a plurality of the jet holes 32a-32e, the jet holes 32a and 32e at both ends of the line direction are close to the supply holes 33a and 33b, and the external hole ends of the supply holes 33a and 33b are contacted with the wall surface of the ink chamber 31. Therefore a layered stream is formed on the wall surface of the ink chamber 31, and turbulent streams are formed in the vicinity of the center of the ink chamber 31. The speed distribution of the ink jet streams at the jet holes 32a-32e is such that the speed on both sides is faster than that in the center. However, the speed of the ink drops at both ends becomes slower due to the resistance of the air during flight, and the ink arrives at the recording paper 11 at an approximately equal speed as a whole. Therefore, the excellent printing quality can be obtained even though head feeding is performed at a high speed.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the titled recorder which is capable of printing in a constant size irrespectively of the flow velocity of ink and is suitable for a jet printing device requiring a strict printing precision, by a method wherein a single charge detector and a circuit for feeding back the detected results so as to maintain a fixed defelction amount are provided. CONSTITUTION:The detector 11 for detecting the charges of ink droplets and the circuit (comprising a counter 19 which generates character rows, a digital-to-analog converter 20 of the constant-current output type, a counter 21 which generates compensation voltages, a digital-to-analog converter 22 and a variable resistor 23 having a resistance varied by the compensation voltages) for compensating for the changes in the deflection amount. If the variable resistor 23 is set to have a smaller resistance as a control voltage becomes lower, the output of the D/A converter 22 is changed, a test pulse is impressed on a charging electrode through a charging circuit 25 so as to charge the ink droplets, which are then deflected by deflecting electrodes and the output of the detector 11 is memorized. The distance between the ink droplet and the electrode 15 of the detector 11 is minimum when the output of the detector 11 is maximum. Accordingly, a fixed deflection amount can always be obtained by adjusting the deflection amount to the position of the detector 11.
