摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave length dispersion compensating function for a luminous signal and a distribution function to an optional beam passage for the luminous signal. SOLUTION: This optical filter 10 is provided with one input port 12, two output ports 14a, 14b, two optical circulators 16a, 16b, and two FBGs(fiber Bragg grating) 18a, 18b. Respective optical circulators 16a, 16b are provided with the first ports (a), the second ports (b), and the third ports (c). Each optical circulator is constituted to output a luminous signal input to the first port (a) to the second port (b), and to output the luminous signal input to the second port (b) to the third port (c). The first port (a) in the first circulator 16a is connected to the input port 12. The third ports (c) in the respective circulators are connected to the respective output ports 14a, 14b. The second port (b) in the first optical circulator 16a and the first port (a) in the second optical circulator 16b are connected via the first FBG 18a. The end of the second FBG 18b is connected to the second port (b) in the second optical circulator 16b.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the thin-film transistor(TFT) for a liquid crystal display device at a good yield without display defects by simple stages by preventing the overhang by ohmic barrier layers, thereby preventing line defects and spot defects and enhancing the reliability of connection to display electrodes and, a process for production of such TFT. CONSTITUTION:The drain electrode and source electrode of this TFT consist of a three-layered structure consisting of a first layer 29a of the source electrode and first layer 29b of the drain electrode which are the ohmic barrier layers with semiconductor layers 27a, 27b, a second layer 30b of the source electrode and second layer 30b of the drain electrode which consist of a low-resistance material and are main signal wiring layers, and a third layer 31a of the source electrode and third layer 31b of the drain electrode which are battery reaction preventive layers. Similarly the low-resistance data line consists of a three- layered structure consisting of a first layer data wiring 29c which is the ohmic barrier layer, a second layer data wiring 30c which consists of a low-resistance material and is the main wiring layer and a third layer data wiring 31c which is the battery reaction preventive layer.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make the symmetric property of the waveform of a picture element signal better and to improve image quality by impressing a data signal having opposite polarity on an (n)th drain electrode and an (n+1)th drain electrode. CONSTITUTION:By facing one part of a picture element electrode 2 which receives the data signal from the (n)th drain line 4 to the (n+1)th drain line 4 by interposing a dielectric body, storing capacitance (n+1) is held. By impressing the data signal having the opposite polarity on the (n)th drain line 4 and the (n+1)th drain line 4, the voltage of a picture element is lowered to a negative side when it is positive and it is lowered to a positive side when it is negative. Then, the symmetric property of the waveform of the picture element signal is improved. Besides, by facing the other one part of the electrode 2 which receives the data signal from the (n)th drain line 4 to the (n)th of drain line 4 by interposing the dielectric body, the storing capacitance Cn is held and a voltage holding characteristic is more improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve image quality and to prevent the deterioration of a liquid crystal by impressing an AC signal which has the polarity reverse from the polarity of a gate pulse and falls upon rising of the gate pulse and rises upon falling of the gate pulse to an auxiliary electrode. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal layer is provided on a picture element electrode 2 and further a common electrode is provided thereon. The auxiliary electrode 7 having an auxiliary capacity is provided between this electrode and the picture element electrode 2. The AC signal which has the polarity reverse from the polarity of the gate pulse and falls upon rising of the gate pulse and rises upon falling of the gate pulse is applied to the auxiliary electrode 7 and the signal breaking through the picture element electrode 2 is offset by the gate pulse to decrease the shift quantity of a source signal waveform by the signal breaking through the picture element electrode by this AC signal. The image quality is improved and the deterioration of the liquid crystal is prevented.
