    • PURPOSE: To provide the synchronization tracking circuit excellent in the precision of synchronization tracking at a reception station in a mobile communication system based on the code division multiplex connection system. CONSTITUTION: A signal to noise ratio measurement circuit 20 measures a signal to noise power ratio (S/N) of a received signal IN. A correlation length discrimination circuit 30 decides the length of a correlation block based on a relational table 32 describing cross reference between the S/N and the length of the correlation block among an Early pseudo random (PN) signal S47e, a rate PN signal S471, and a reception signal IN. A delay locked loop circuit 40 obtains respectively the correlation among the Early pseudo random (PN) signal S47e, the rate PN signal S471, and the reception signal IN based on the length of the correlation block from the correlation length discrimination circuit 30 to detect a shift in the phase of the reception signal based on the difference and to change the phase of the Early pseudo random (PN) signal S47e and the rate PN signal S471 thereby approaching a difference from each correlation to be zero and tracking the Early pseudo random (PN) signal and the rate PN signal synchronously with the reception signal IN.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of call loss in a base station where mobile stations are centralized, in the mobile communication system based on a frequency division multiplex connection time division multiplex connection communication system. CONSTITUTION:This controller has a call loss ratio calculation circuit 1 calculating the call loss ratio in the area (=cell) that a base station controls, a level determination circuit 2 determining the level of a pilot signal from the calculation result and a pilot signal transmitter 3 transmitting a pilot signal on this determined level. The level determination means determines the level of the pilot signal for the level which is decreased by the portion proportional to the deviation from a design call loss ratio when the loss of the base station is larger than the upper limit value of an allowable call loss ratio and determines the level of the pilot signal for the level which is increased by the portion proportional to the deviation from the design call loss ratio when the call loss of the base station is smaller than the lower limit value of an allowable call loss ratio. Thus, the generation of the call loss in the base station where mobile stations are centralized is reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in the specification of a long code by computing the product sum of a received signal stored in a storage means and all spread codes outputted from a spread code generation means and calculating respective correlation values. SOLUTION: A digitally converted received signal inputted through a received signal input terminal 1 is inputted to a storage device 4. When long code synchronizing timing detected by a long code synchronizing timing detection part 23 is inputted to the storage device 4 through a synchronizing timing input terminal 2, the device 4 stores received signals equal to the previously determined number of samples. Then a CPU 24 reads out one code number stored in a long code storage part 25 and transmits the read code number to a spread code generation part 5 through a code number input terminal 3. The generation part 5 generates a spread code based on the code number and outputs the spread code to a product sum operation part 6. The operation part 6 executes product sum operation and outputs a correlation value.

SOLUTION: A converter 13 outputs a propagation path characteristic signal for each time interval Tf of predetermined known data based on reception symbol data and known data position information. An interpolation device 14 outputs the propagation path characteristic signal after interpolation at a reception symbol data interval Ts from the propagation path characteristic signal. A multiplier 15 multiplies the reception symbol data with the propagation path characteristic signal after interpolation to generate reception symbol data from which the propagation path characteristic is eliminated. A data discrimination device 16 applies soft discrimination and hard discrimination or the like to the reception symbol data after the propagation path characteristic is eliminated to provide an output of a data discrimination result. A multiplier 17 generates and outputs a pseudo propagation path characteristic signal including the noise component. A filter circuit 18 applies low pass filtering to the pseudo propagation path characteristic signal to provide an output of the propagation path characteristic estimate signal from which the noise component is eliminated.
