    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete a construction in a short period while securing the safety of passengers and a train in a gantry supporting structure used when the installation of piles is performed in a vehicle traveling area in which mainly roads and rails for traveling commercial trains thereon are laid down.
      SOLUTION: This gantry supporting structure 1 is so formed that a truss 11 as an upper part supporting mechanism is vertically installed on the upper surface of a working gantry 8 and a transportable gantry 12 horizontally adjacent to the working gantry at an approximately same height as the working gantry 8 through the truss. The truss 11 is formed of two tensile truss materials 101a and 101b disposed in a reverse V-shape and a compressive truss material 101c having a head part connected to a portion where the two tensile truss materials are interfaced with each other. One 101a of the tensile truss materials is connected to the upper surface of the working gantry 8, and the other 101b of the tensile truss materials is connected to the portable gantry 12. The lower end of the compressive truss material 101c is connected to the upper surface of the working gantry 8 so as to be vertically installed.
