摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the heating energy of a heating means for sludge in a primary digesting cell, in the system for digesting sewage sludge or the like, by recovering heat by heat exchange between withdrawn sludge and charged sludge. CONSTITUTION:Charged sludge is heat-exchanged with withdrawn sludge by a heat exchanger 13 provided on the way of a pipe line 4 for charged sludge, further heated by a heating means 3 and then charged in a primary digesting cell 1. On this occassion, the valve 17a of a pipe line 8 for circulating sludge is held under a closed or squeezed condition. After the operation of charging sludge is completed, the valve 17a is opened and a valve 17b for charged sludge is closed to circulate and heat the sludge in the primary digesting cell 1. When the withdrawal of sludge is completed in synchronization with the completion of charging sludge, the valves 17c, 17d of a withdrawing pipe line 6 are closed, and the valves 17e, 17f of branched pipe lines 15, 16 are opened so that the sludge or water stored in a reserving cell 14 is circulated to inhibit a blockade in the pipe line 6 and the pipe of the heat exchanger 13.

摘要： PURPOSE:To stabilize the quality of purified water, while holding the total amount of sludge in the system at a predetermined value, in purifying sewage or the like, by setting the total amount of sludge at first, and using the set value and an estimated value for the total amount of sludge obtained from information at a specified point to set the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn. CONSTITUTION:From the output of an MLSS meter 6 inserted into an aerating cell 1, the total amont of sludge is calculated by an arithmetic circuit 7 for the total amount of sludge. On the other hand, an estimated value for the total amount of sludge is calculated by an arithmetic circuit 8 taking into consideration the quality of water to be purified, the property of sludge, the amount of air blow and the amount of excess sludge to the withdrawn. The set value of the total amount of sludge from the arithmetic circuit 8 and the estimated value for the total amount of sludge from the arithmetic circuit 7 are inputted to an arithmetic circuit 9 to determine the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn. In addition, the outputs of a flow meter 11 for excess sludge and a densitometer 10 for excess sludge are processed by an arithmetic unit 12 to calculate the actual amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn. The output of the arithmetic unit 12 and the output of the arithmetic circuit 9 are inputted to a controller 13 for withdrawing excess sludge, withdrawal is performed by the operation of an excess sludge-withdrawing pump 4, and the total amount of sludge is held constant.

CONSTITUTION:From values measured by a meter 6 for the amount of inflow sewage and a densitometer 7 for the concentration of SS in the inflow sewage, the amount of sludge flowing into a aerating cell 1 is calculated by the first circuit 8 at every cycle of controlling. The total dry amount of sludge in the system is calculated from MLSS, the amount of inflow sewage, etc. by the second circuit 9, averaged and used for control. A correcting controlling part for the amount of excess sludge is calculated by the third circuit 10 using the total dry amount of sludge obtained by the second circuit 9 as a controlling amount. An output from the first circuit 8 is added to that from the third circuit 10 by the forth circuit 11 to calculate the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn. The actual amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn is calculated by an arithmetic unit 12 and compared with an objective value for the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn by a controller 13 to dispatch a signal for starting or stopping an excess sludge pump 3.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make good use of heat retained in sludge for enhancing thermal economy, in the system for digesting sewage sludge or the like, by performing heat-exchange using a heat pump between withdrawn sludge and charged sludge. CONSTITUTION:Withdrawn sludge from a secondary digesting cell 2 is carried through a withdrawing pipe line 6, heat-exchanged by the evaporator 14 of a heat pump 13 and the discharged outside the system. Charged sludge is introduced through the pipe line 6 into a condenser 15, heated by the action of the heat pump 13 and carried through a pipe line 8 to a primary digesting cell 1. On this occasion, valves 18a, 18d are opened, while valves 18b, 18c are closed. After the operation of charging and withdrawing sludge is completed, the valves 18a, 18d are closed, the valves 18b, 18c are opened, so that sludge in the primary digesting cell 1 is cyclically heated. A heat medium such as secondarily- purified water or hot water is hence introduced from the outside through a pipe line 19 into the evaporator 14.

At this time, circulating sludge flows through the second heat exchanger 13, and the blockade in the pipes is prevented even at a time for stopping the operation of charging and recharging sludge.

The counted values of a densitometer 17 for organic substane to be discharged and a meter 18 for the amount of purified water are inputted to an arithmetic unit 18. An average of each of counted values calculated by the arithmetic units 16, 18 is inputted to an arithmetic unit 20, and a coefficient from a manual setting instrument 19 is applied to obtain the amount of organic substance removed in the system. The output of the arithmetic unit 20 together with the amount of inflow sludge and the amount of outflow sludge obtained by calculators 6 and 9, respectively, is inputted to an arithmetic unit 21 to calculate the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn using the formula of material income and outgo. The obtained output is applied to a controlling circuit 14, and an excess sludge-withdrawing pump 3 is operated to hold the total dry amount of sludge in the system constant.

On the other hand, the returned sludge (e) is measured by the flow meter 5 and on the basis of the measured values, the flow rate is controlled by means of a regulator 7. In this case, another MLSS meter 8 is provided on the upflow side of the MLSS meter 4 and on the basis of the measured values, the amount of retrned sludge is controlled. Thus, the MLSS value at a specific point of the aeration tank can be kept constant for a long length of time.
