摘要： PURPOSE:To hold the total dry amount of sludge in the system at a predetermined value with the easy management of operation, by measuring the amount of sludge flowing into an aerating cell and the total dry amount of sludge in the system, and adding a feed-back controlling amount to said amount of inflow sludge to obtain the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn. CONSTITUTION:From values measured by a meter 6 for the amount of inflow sewage and a densitometer 7 for the concentration of SS in the inflow sewage, the amount of sludge flowing into a aerating cell 1 is calculated by the first circuit 8 at every cycle of controlling. The total dry amount of sludge in the system is calculated from MLSS, the amount of inflow sewage, etc. by the second circuit 9, averaged and used for control. A correcting controlling part for the amount of excess sludge is calculated by the third circuit 10 using the total dry amount of sludge obtained by the second circuit 9 as a controlling amount. An output from the first circuit 8 is added to that from the third circuit 10 by the forth circuit 11 to calculate the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn. The actual amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn is calculated by an arithmetic unit 12 and compared with an objective value for the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn by a controller 13 to dispatch a signal for starting or stopping an excess sludge pump 3.

摘要： PURPOSE:To hold the total dry amount of sludge in the system at a predetermined value over a long time, by calculating an objective value for the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn on the basis of the average value of MLSS in an aerating cell, comparing it with an actual amount to be withdrawn, and controlling the amount to be withdrawn. CONSTITUTION:A value measured by an MLSS meter 6 provided at the outlet of an aerating cell 1 is inputted to an arithmetic unit 7 to obtain its average value. The average MLSS value is PID-calculated by an arithmetic unit 8 to calculate the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn in the proper intervals of controlling. An output from the arithmetic unit 8 is added to a constant by an arithmetic unit 9, and its result is applied as an objective value for the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn to a controller 11 at every cycle of controlling. The actual amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn is obtained by an arithmetic unit 10 and compared with an objective amount by the controller 11 to dispatch a signal for starting or stopping an excess sludge pump 3. According to the system of this kind, the total dry amount of sludge in the system can be held at a predetermined value over a long time by the simplified constitution.

CONSTITUTION:A signal detected by a densitometer 4 for MLSS in an aerating cell 1 is inputted to an arithmetic unit 9 to calculate the total amount ST of sludge in the system at said time. The output ST from the arithmetic unit 9 is inputted together with a set value for the total amount of sludge to a controller 11 for the total amount of sludge, and the output from the controller 11 for the total amount of sludge is inputted as an input for a set point to a controller 12 for withdrawing excess sludge. An excess sludge pump 14 is operated by the output from the controller 12 for withdrawing excess sludge, to control the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn and to hold the total amount of sludge in the system constant. In addition to said operation, a flow valve 3 for returned sludge is operated to hold the concentration of MLSS (the total amount of active sludge) in the aerating cell 1 at the set point over a long time.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make good use of heat retained in sludge for enhancing thermal economy, in the system for digesting sewage sludge or the like, by performing heat-exchange using a heat pump between withdrawn sludge and charged sludge. CONSTITUTION:Withdrawn sludge from a secondary digesting cell 2 is carried through a withdrawing pipe line 6, heat-exchanged by the evaporator 14 of a heat pump 13 and the discharged outside the system. Charged sludge is introduced through the pipe line 6 into a condenser 15, heated by the action of the heat pump 13 and carried through a pipe line 8 to a primary digesting cell 1. On this occasion, valves 18a, 18d are opened, while valves 18b, 18c are closed. After the operation of charging and withdrawing sludge is completed, the valves 18a, 18d are closed, the valves 18b, 18c are opened, so that sludge in the primary digesting cell 1 is cyclically heated. A heat medium such as secondarily- purified water or hot water is hence introduced from the outside through a pipe line 19 into the evaporator 14.

After the completion of charging and recharging sludge, the valve 14c is opened and valves 14a, 14b are closed so that sludge in the primary digesting cell 1 is circulated by a pump 12a and heated by the first heat exchanger 3. At this time, circulating sludge flows through the second heat exchanger 13, and the blockade in the pipes is prevented even at a time for stopping the operation of charging and recharging sludge.

The output of the arithmetic unit 20 together with the amount of inflow sludge and the amount of outflow sludge obtained by calculators 6 and 9, respectively, is inputted to an arithmetic unit 21 to calculate the amount of excess sludge to be withdrawn using the formula of material income and outgo. The obtained output is applied to a controlling circuit 14, and an excess sludge-withdrawing pump 3 is operated to hold the total dry amount of sludge in the system constant.
