      SOLUTION: The method for compressing and solidifying the grinding sludge comprises feeding the grinding sludge into the inner cylinder 49 from a feeding port 53 disposed in the intermediate section in the longitudinal direction of the inner cylinder 49 and solidifying the grinding sludge by compressing and pressurizing the grinding sludge by means of the pressurizing piston 39 to a gate member 37 freely openably and closably disposed on one end side of the inner cylinder 49. The pressurizing piston 39 is moved at a high speed and after the feeding port 53 is closed, the pressurizing piston 39 is moved at a low speed under high pressure, by which the grinding sludge B is pressurized and solidified.

The tip end surface of the pressure rod 3 and the internal surface of the gate 2 has the arrangement of fibrous and paper filters 4 and 5 for solid-liquid separation which closes the gaps d1 and d2 between these pressure rod 3 and gate 2, and the mold 1. In a state of arranging these filters 4 and 5, the slurry material S in the mold 1 is compressed to make a solidified substance SB, thereby carrying out solid-liquid separation.
