    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water permeation sensor for bearing, which surely detects permeation of water inside a bearing even at an initial stage thereof, a rolling bearing device with the water permeation sensor, and a wheel supporting bearing unit with the water permeation sensor.
      SOLUTION: The water permeation sensor S for bearing is attached to a rolling bearing including a conductive stationary wheel 2 maintained in a non-rotating state, a rotary wheel disposed oppositely to the stationary wheel 2 and rotated, and a plurality of rolling elements incorporated between raceway surfaces formed respectively on opposed portions 22 of the stationary wheel 2 and the rotary wheel so as to be capable of rolling. The sensor includes a foil-like electrode 30 and a hydrophilic resin plate 50 to be located inside the bearing. The electrode 30 is stuck to one plate surface 52 of the hydrophilic resin plate 50, and the other plate surface 54 of the hydrophilic resin plate 50 is fixed to the stationary wheel 2, whereby a capacitor using the hydrophilic resin plate 50 as a dielectric body is formed between the stationary wheel 2 and the electrode 30. The permeation of water inside the bearing is detected depending on a change in the electrostatic capacity of the capacitor.

The slinger 62 is provided with a thin-wall part 62s formed by making a tip at of the fixation part 62a thinner than other portions of the fixation part 62a in the perimeter, and since the thin-wall part 62s is brought into contact with the step part 16g provided in the bearing ring and is deformed, the slinger 62 is positioned and fixed to the bearing ring.
