    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved ocular composition including a prostaglandin active substance which is particularly useful to lower glaucoma related intraocular pressure.
      SOLUTION: The composition includes a prostaglandin active substance (for example, a metabolite of F series prostaglandins, isopropyl unoprostone) together with a selected nonionic surfactant, a preservative and a nonionic tension modulator, and the composition includes (1) the prostaglandin active substance, (2) a first nonionic surfactant (for example, polysorbate 80), (3) a second nonionic surfactant (for example, a BRIJ surfactant), (4) a nonionic tension potentiating agent and (5) a chelator (for example, sodium edetate) in a preferred embodiment. Application of the disclosed composition effectuates improvements in a lowering effect of IOP (intraocular pressure), a preserving effect and lowered concentration of an additive.
