In this arrangement an auxiliary piston 35 is disposed opposing the front end part of a valve piston 23 in the control valve 13, the piston 35 being urged leftward by a Belleville spring 44. With this arrangement, there is constituted a limiting means C for decreasing and limiting the slide stroke of an input rod 22 relative to the booster piston 5 in accordance with an increase in the reaction force of an output rod 45.

      CONSTITUTION: A ring-shaped groove 61 is formed in the back surface of a booster piston 2, and a notch 65 is cut in the rear side wall 61a of this groove 61. A ring-shaped bead 3b of a piston diaphragm 3 is fitted in this groove 61, and that part of bead 3b which mates with the above-mentioned notch 65 is formed in a thin part 63 to contact the booster piston 2 separably, and a protruding wall 64 for locational use, installed upright at the periphery of this thin part 63, is put in engagement with the above-mentioned notch 65. Thus, if the residual air in No.1 working chamber A is compressed by forward moving booster piston 2 and this pressure becomes higher than the pressure in No.2 working chamber B, while no pressure is accumulated in No.1 working chamber A, the thin part 63 of the ring-shaped bead 3b goes apart from the booster piston to put the working chambers A and B in communication with each other.

CONSTITUTION:A return spring 46 for repelling an output rod 43 in retreating direction is contained in second negative pressure chamber 2a, while a stopper means comprising an end wall 11a and a stopper board 36 is arranged between an input rod 25 and a booster shell 1 so as to limit retrieval of the input rod 25. Even when a negative pressure booster B is stopped, i.e. when the input rod 25 is held at limit retrieval position through the stopper means, a slightly higher pressure than that in both negative pressure chambers 2a., 3a is led into respective working chambers 2b, 3b so as to balance the differential force between driving force of a front booster piston 4 and repelling force of the return spring 46 with driving force of a rear booster piston 6 thus loading a reaction mechanism 44 with a portion of repelling force of the return spring 46. Consequently, clearance of mechanism is eliminated and response of the output rod with respect to operation of the input rod can be improved.

      CONSTITUTION: A locational projection 3c is formed at a ring-shaped bead 3a in the outside circumferential part of a piston diaphragm 3, and a locational hole 1c is excavated in the outside circumference of a thin conical member 1R formed behind the shell 1. The projection 3c is fitted in the hole 1c to have the circumferential location of the diaphragm 3 with respect to the shell 1. A notch 65 is cut in the back side wall 61a of a ring-shaped groove 61 formed in the booster piston 2, and a channel-shaped locational projection 64 is formed upright at the internal circumferential ring-shaped bead 3b of the diaphragm 3 as in a single solid body. The projection 64 is placed in engagement with the notch 65 to have the circumferential location of the piston 2 with respect to the diaphragm 3. Thereby the booster piston 2 is located in the circumferential direction with respect to the shell 1 through the diaphragm 3.

In this way, front and rear part cup-shaped bodies and the mounting flange 36, that is, the three members can be connected altogether by the tie rode 30.

    • PURPOSE: To increase bending rigidity of boots in a device and ensure durability of the boots, by enclosing the periphery of a tie rod, connecting a booster shell, with the boots of bellows shape and always applying expanding tendency to the bellow- shaped boots from a difference of air pressure between the first and second working chambers.
      CONSTITUTION: A sealing means is applied to a tie rod 30 connecting both front and rear walls of a booster shell 1. Said sealing means is constituted by a bellows- shaped boots 46 formed by elastic material of rubber or the like, and tightly fitted with its front end 46a to an annular groove 47 in the periphery of the front end part of the tie rod 30 and its rear end 46b to a through hole 31 in a booster piston 2 respectively. The inside of the boots 46 is always communicated to the second working chamber B through a through hole 32. Then a control valve 5 is set to such a neutral condition that residual air pressure slightly higher than in the first working chamber A is left in the second working chamber B, that is, the second working chamber B is not communicated to both of the first working chamber A and the atmospheric pressure. A difference of air pressure between the both chambers A, B causes the bellows shaped boots 46 in a state of expanding tendency.
