    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sludge dehydrator which swiftly and securely inject an iron-based high specific gravity inorganic flocculant into flocculated sludge (separated sludge) in which solid-liquid separation is progressed to some extent without using a special polymer flocculant or the like, promotes the solid-liquid separation more, and securely achieve the reduction in the water content of dehydrated sludge and the improvement of an SS (suspended solids) recovery rate, and enables the high solid-liquid separation (dehydration) performance of a centrifugal separator to be stably demonstrated.SOLUTION: The sludge dehydrator is composed of: a centrifugal separator 1 provided with an outer barrel bowl 3 and an inner barrel screw 4 and subjecting sludge to solid-liquid separation into dehydrated sludge and a separation liquid; a sludge feed tube 14 feeding the sludge to the centrifugal separator 1; and a taper injection tube 23 stretching inside the inner barrel screw 4 and injecting a high specific gravity inorganic flocculant with a high iron content into the tapered part of the outer barrel bowl 3.
