摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light shielding/dust protective shutter structure which is able to shield light emitted from an optical connector and also prevent dust from entering the optical connector.
SOLUTION: A protector 8 and a shutter 10 are attached to an opening part 3a of a plug housing 3 in an optical plug connector 1. The shutter has a shielding part 10a and a pair of projecting parts 10b. The protector has an opening part on the front face and a pair of upheaval parts 8b on the top face, respectively. The shielding part of the shutter is positioned directly in front of the opening part of the protector, and shields the opening part of the protector. The tip faces of two or more optical fibers are arranged in the neighborhood of the opening part of the protector. When this optical plug connector and a partner optical plug connector are inserted from both sides of the optical adapter, respectively, one of the projecting parts abuts on the slope of each upheaval part of the partner side and is displaced, to move the shielding part of the shutter and open the opening part of the protector. Therefore, such a structure is formed as the tip faces of each optical fiber of both connectors are in contact with each other.
