摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a ground improver which is excellent in safety and low in cost, and permits ready handling and which comprises particular combustion ash and coarse quenched blast furnace slag grains. CONSTITUTION:Combustion ash (A) comprising coal cinders or fly ash, gypsum, calcium sulfite, quick lime, etc., produced as a by-product in a fluidized bed combustion furnace to be charged with coals and limestones is mixed with a quenched blast furnace slag (B) as it is or coarse grains thereof obtd. by mildly grinding the same under a bulldozer etc. according to necessity in an A to B wt. ratio of 50-70:50-30.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent degradation of the effectiveness of produced slag as phosphatic fertilizer by a method wherein CaCl2 and CaF2 are used as a melting-drop agent of a slag mainly consisting of lime which is used in the dephosphorizing and desulfurizing process of a multistage steel making process. CONSTITUTION:A strongly basic slag essentially consisting of CaO is used in the dephosphorizing dand desulfuring process of a steel making process which is multistaged by desilicate-dephosphorization desulfurization-decarburization, and steel making refining processes. In this process, CaCl2 and CaF2 are used as a melting- drop agent. The molten slag is rapidly cooled with water to cause fine crystals of phosphate cpd. and to enhance its solubility in citric acid. Alternatively, the molten slag is gradually cooled, crushed to a proper size, heated to 800-1,100 deg.C, and maintained at that temperature for about 30-130min. The obtained slag includes more than 5% of phosphoric acid and can be effectively used as a phosphatic fertilizer.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the inexpensive grinding and sweeping material exellent in grinding and sweeping properties, by blending blast furnace slag. CONSTITUTION:The so-called blast furnace water granulated slag that is obtained by rapidly cooling blast furnace slag is made up of a crystaline material and a vitreous material and the vitreous material is predominantly present therein. The blast furnace water granulated slag itself is not suitable to substitute for a steel surface grinding and sweeping material because its strength is low. In the present invention, a blast furnace slag is blended with a converter slag and then water-granulated to improve the water granulation strength to the optimum value as a grinding and sweeping material. Particularly, in densifying and rigidifying the blast furnace slag with the converter slag, to suppress the disintegration of the water granulation which is unfavorable to grinding and sweeping, the amount of the converter slag to be added is restricted up to 7wt%. As a result, the grinding and sweeping material having a long life and excellent in grinding and sweeping properties can be obtained.
