    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-part curable aqueous coating composition causing no decline in physical properties such as adhesivity, chemical resistance, curability and pot-life, and to provide an iron base material coated with the composition.
      SOLUTION: The two-part curable aqueous coating composition comprises (I) an aqueous main agent and (II) a curing agent. In this composition, the aqueous main agent (I) is a condensate of an epoxy compound and an aliphatic polyol compound, wherein the epoxy equivalent of the condensate is 100-10,000 g/moL, and the curing agent (II) comprises a polyamine.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-part curable aqueous coating composition having stable pot-life and capable of forming coating film having such physical properties as good appearance, mechanical strength and chemical resistance.
      SOLUTION: The two-part curable aqueous coating composition comprises (I) an aqueous main agent containing a hydroxyl-containing resin and (II) a curing agent. In this composition, the aqueous main agent(I) comprises an aqueous macromolecular polyol with a hydroxyl number of 50-200 mgKOH/g, an acid value of 10-100 mgKOH/g and a number-average molecular weight of 1,000-100,000, and the curing agent(II) is comprises a water-dispersible polyisocyanate and an organic solvent having a solubility parameter of 8.0-10.0 and inert to isocyanate group.
