摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationic electrodeposition coating material composition in which an acrylic resin component is made to exist stably in an amine-modified epoxy resin-containing emulsion so that an electrodeposition coating film to be formed exhibits surely functions such as a leveling function derived from the acrylic resin component and to provide a method for producing the cationic electrodeposition coating material composition. SOLUTION: The method for producing the cationic electrodeposition coating material composition includes; the first step of emulsifying an amine-modified epoxy resin (a), a thermosetting agent (b) and an acrylic monomer (c) to prepare a pre-emulsion; the second step of adding a polymerization initiator to the pre-emulsion and polymerizing the acrylic monomer (c) to obtain an acrylic resin-containing emulsion; and a step of mixing the emulsion obtained at the second step with pigment-dispersed paste to prepare the cationic electrodeposition coating material composition. A method for producing an emulsion for the cationic electrodeposition coating material composition includes: the first step of emulsifying the amine-modified epoxy resin (a), the thermosetting agent (b) and the acrylic monomer (c) to prepare the pre-emulsion; and the second step of adding the polymerization initiator to the pre-emulsion and polymerizing the acrylic monomer (c) to obtain the objective emulsion.
