    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initiator using a thin-film bridge capable of efficiently firing powders without being influenced by the service environment or the like.
      SOLUTION: This initiator comprises a choke plug 4 and the thin-film bridge 5, and is adapted to fire powders 6 and 7 by supplying a current to the thin-film bridge 5 from electrode pins 2 and 3 through an electrode pad 21 to operate the bridge 5. The electrode pins 2 and 3 are protruded from the surface of the choke plug 4 by a predetermined height so that the end surfaces of the electrode pins 2 and 3 are substantially flushed with the electrode pads 21 on the surface of the bridge 4 mounted on the choke plug 4, and the electrode pad 21 is connected to the electrode pins 2 and 3 by wire bonding. Further, one side of the electrode pad 21 is connected to a header metal part 24 of the choke plug 4 by wire bonding.
