    • PURPOSE:To automatically effect continuous assembling and taking-out of a core by lifting a core assembly upwardly of a cylic chain via vertically movable rails and holding said assembly with a sampling device between said vertically movable rails to sample it to the outside. CONSTITUTION:A core assembly 13 continuously assembled at a high speed is sent out from front ends of vertically fixed rails 12, 7 via cyclic chain 8, and received by vertically movable rails 25, 26. Thereafterm the assembly is lifted upwardly of the cyclic chain 8 by elevating both the movable rails 25, 26 by means of an elevator 27, and held by a movable compression pawl 38 of a core sampling device by making use of the movement of said pawl in an M1 direction, whereby the assembly is sampled from between the vertically movable rails 25, 26. Thereafter, the vertically movable rails 25, 26 return to a position aligned with the vertically fixed rails 12, 7. Thus, a core assembly can be taken out without interrruption of continuous assembling operation for a heat exchanger core.

    • PURPOSE:To automatically and a securely drive a side plate into both ends of a tube by providing a clamp device for a heat exchanger core, a fin guide device, a tube guide device, and a plate driving device. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger core 1 composed of a pair of end plates 2, 3, many tubes 4, and a fin 5 is automatically compressed and held with a clamp device 1 in a direction of arranging the tubes 4 and the fin 5. In addition, since both ends of the fin 5 is guided between the adjoining tubes 4 and between the tube 4 and the end plates 2, 3 by means of a fin guide device 22, both the ends of the fin 5 are prevented from projecting. Moreover, between the adjoining tubes 4, and among the end plates 2, 3 and the tube 4 are respectively kept in prescribed intervals by automatic holding of a tube guide device 27. Furthermore, the side plates 2, 3 can be automatically driven into both ends of the tube without fail.
