    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater for piping having excellent close contact property and very little rise of dust and facilitating mounting and removing operation. SOLUTION: This heater 10 for piping has a heating part layer and a heat insulating part layer and is wound in a cross direction around the outer peripheral part of the piping to be heated, to carry out heating and heat insulation of piping. The heating part layer and the heat insulating part layer are separately constituted. The heating part layer is formed by arranging a heating body on the surface which is the heating surface side of a strip base material 11 with heat resistance and flexibility, and wrapping the whole with a heat resistant wrapping material. The heat insulating part layer is formed by wrapping a heat insulating material 21 of strip shape with a heat resistant wrapping material 22. The heat insulating layer is placed over so as to be on the non-heating surface side of the heating part layer while arranging both edge parts uniformly in the width direction. The overlapped edge parts are integrally connected to each other to form a body part. The width of the heat insulating part layer is set long to such an extent that the inner side face of the heat insulating part layer loosely sticks to the outer peripheral surface of the heating part layer when the heating surface of the heating part layer of the heater for piping is wound to stick closely to the surface of piping.
