    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire exhibiting excellent cut-through characteristics, and having tensile elongation properties, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: In the insulated wire where the outer peripheral surface of a conductor is covered with an insulator, the insulator consists of a halogen free flame retardant resin composition containing 1.5 to 7 pts.mass of low density polyethylene (LDPE), 0.9 to 5 pts.mass of pigment and 10 to 30 pts.mass of phosphorous flame retardant for 100 pts.mass of a base resin component containing 30 to 85 pts.mass of polypropylene based resin, 10 to 50 pts.mass of polyphenylene ether based resin and 5 to 30 pts.mass of styrene based elastomer. The halogen free flame retardant resin composition has a phase structure of a sea-island and the phase region corresponding to the island of the phase structure of the island is a region containing low density polyethylene as a main component and having a long diameter of 1.5 μm or more. In the phase region, a phase region consisting of a styrene based elastomer and a polyphenylene ether based resin surrounded by the styrene based elastomer is formed in the shape of an island.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable which has a small diameter and is excellent in flame resistance while securing excellent abrasion resistance and sufficient breaking strength without using halogen-based fire retardant.SOLUTION: The cable comprises: a pair of insulation wires 1 which twist each other; an internal sheath 2 made of non-halogen polyurethane covering the circumference of the pair of insulation wires 1; and an external sheath 3 made of a mixture of non-halogen flame retardant polyurethane elastomer and non-halogen flame retardant polyester elastomer covering the circumference of the internal sheath 2. A breaking strength is 300 N or more, and an external diameter is 3.4 mm or less.
