    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood for use in a spray gun, capable of decreasing the amount of VOC released into the atmosphere by recovering a part of VOC added in oil paint in the course of applying oil paint with a spray gun and, in the case of applying aqueous paint, capable of decreasing the dripping or the like of a paint liquid occurring subsequent to applying paint, by sucking air present in the vicinity of the sprayed paint mist to reduce the partial pressure of water vapor to decrease the moisture content therein; and a spray gun unit.SOLUTION: The hood for use in a spray gun, namely a cylindrical body that houses a paint nozzle disposed therein of a spray gun for spraying paint, and includes an opening disposed in one end of the cylindrical body to serve as a passage of the sprayed paint and a locking member disposed on the other end thereof and airtightly attached to the spray gun, is characterized by sucking the inner gas present in the cylindrical body. The spray gun unit constituted of a spray gun with the hood attached thereto and of an aspirator, is characterized by treating the sucked gas.
