    • PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. which exhibits excellent stability and solubility in a molten state, does not suffer exposure failure such as whitening during the formation of a coating film and can impart highly practical heat resistance, photosensitivity, etc., by blending a polymerizable unsaturated compd. and a photopolymerization initiator with a soln. contg. a specified polyimide precursor.
      CONSTITUTION: The titled compsn. is obtd. by blending a polymerizable unsaturated compd. such as 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and a photopolymerization initiator such as benzil dimethyl ketal with a soln. such as N,N-dimethylformamide soln. contg. a polyimide precursor having carboxyl and amino groups at its terminal, imide bonds in the molecule and an acid value residual rate of 40% or below, obtd. by reacting an aliph. tetracarobylic acid such as butanetetracarboxylic acid with a diamine such as 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane as monomer units. The coating flilm thereof after drying exhibits active photosensitivity allowing light to transmit therethrough.

    • PURPOSE:The titled composition excellent in thermal, electrical and mechanical properties, by introducing an aliphatic tetracarboxylic acid into a specified polyester-polyol, reacting the terminal groups of the product with a diamine unit a predetermined amount of residual acid groups is reached and forming a salt with a nitrogen-containing basic compound. CONSTITUTION:As a polyester skeleton, there is used a substantially linear polyester-polyol having an average MW of below 1,200 and hydroxyl groups at the molecular terminals. This polyester-polyol is reacted with an aliphatic tetracarboxylic acid in an amount to provide 1.5-4.5eq. of acid groups per eq. hydroxyl groups. Then a modified polyester resin having the ratio of residual acid groups 80-25% is prepared by reacting the above-produced acid group-terminated polyester-polyacid with 0.45-0.8eq. of diamine per eq. acid groups of the polyester- polyacid. The residual acid groups of the modified polyester resin are coverted into a salt form by use of a nitrogen-containing basic compound to obtain an aqueous composition for which water can be used as a principal solvent.
