摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a composite reverse-osmosis membrane having high desalting property and water permeability and excellent in chlorine resistance by a low- pressure operation by providing a thin membrane consisting of a polymer obtained by using an acid halide compd. with the isomeric structure specified as the acid component to the composite reverse-osmosis membrane. CONSTITUTION:The composite reverse-osmosis membrane consists of a thin membrane and a microporous body for supporting the thin membrane. The thin membrane consists essentially of the polymer formed from an acid halide compd. in which the angle phi of torsion showing the relative position of the adjacent acid halide groups (r and R') in the formula (r and R' are C (O) C-X) is in the positional relation except 0 to + or -30 deg. (+ or -synperiplanar) in accordance with the conformational indication by the recommendation of IUPAC and a compd. having at least two groups selected from NHR (R is H or 1-4C alkyls), SH and OH. Consequently, the membrane is appropriately used to desalt brine, seawater, etc., or to produce ultrapure water.

At least part of X represents direct coupling which acts as a crosslinking point to couple with formula III in other structural unit, while the rest of X is OH or formula IV M is H or alkali metal, or alkaline earth metal.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make a size compact by forming a structure isolating a gaseous mixture supply part from a transmitted gas taking-out part and mounting a header having a transmitted gas taking-out port to the end part of a cylindrical container so as to cover the transmitted gas taking-out port of said end part. CONSTITUTION:The yarn bundles 1 of a hollow yarn-like membrane having gas permselective capacity are received in a cylindrical container 2 and both end parts of said hollow yarn-like membrane are sealed and fixed by a resin. Further, a header 7 having transmitted gas taking-out ports 8 is mounted to the aforementioned end part of the cylindrical container 2 so as to cover the transmitted gas taking-out ports 6 of said end part. As a result, a size can be made compact and this module becomes useful as the one mounted on the small gas separator of health machinery or medical machinery.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a nitrogen-enriched air at a high flow rate by using a specified composite membrane which is prepared by treating a surface of a porous supporting layer with a material of a specified permeability coefficient for oxygen. CONSTITUTION:After communicating an open end 21 of a membrane envelope 2 to a center tube 1, the membrane envelope 2 is wrapped spirally around the center tube 1. Space between the spiral membrane and the inner periphery of a container is sealed airtightly with a sealing material 4. Pressure outside the membrane envelope 2 is made high and that inside low by supplying a pressurized air through the air inlet 5 from a compressor or evacuating the inside of the center tube 1 with a vacuum pump. The composite membrane is composed of not only an oxygen-enriching membrane but also a treated layer of polyorganosiloxane and has a permeation rate of 0.5-0.6Nm /m .hr.atm and a separation factor between oxygen and nitrogen of 2.5-4.5. By using this apparatus, both a highly concentrated oxygen and a high flow rate of nitrogen- enriched air are obtained.

As the surface active agent, a surface active agent with an ethylene oxide part, which is substituted for an OH group or a COOH group in its one group, is specially desirable. Thereby, a separator for capacitor, which is capable of absorbing and holding an electrolyte, has an oxidation resistance and an alkali resistance and is stable even at a high temperature, can be obtained.
