摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate the falling of hot-dip plating metal at the time of the start and stop of plating in hot-dip plating using an overhead pot provided with an electromagnet so as to surround the opening part for carrying-in steel strips provided at the bottom part of the pot and to facilitate the start and stop of the plating operation. SOLUTION: Directly below an electromagnet 10 arranged so as to surround the opening part for carrying-in steel strips formed on the bottom wall of the pot, a pair of recovering rolls 21 and 31 rotating in contact with both faces of the surface and back of a steel strip 1 are arranged. The hot-dip plating metal 1 separated from the recovering rolls 21 and 31 is recovered into pans 22 and 32 by doctor blades abutted on the circumferential faces of the individual recovering rolls 21 and 31, and the falling and sticking of the hot-dip plating metal 6 to a seal roll and a deflector roll arranged at the lower direction is prevented.

Meanwhile, a part of the resin soln. 3 in the tank 5 is introduced into a refractometer 20 to measure the refractive index. The measurement is transmitted to a controller 21, the opening degree of the flow control valves 22 and 23 are adjusted by the controller 21, and the supply of the liq. resin and solvent is adjusted and controlled. Consequently, the change in concn. of the resin soln. is minimized, and the thickness of the resin on the resin-coated steel sheet is made uniform with high precision.

As a result, the visible surface side steel plate 2 can not be strained by straining the invisible surface plate 3 and the flatness of the visible surface side steel plate 2 can be maintained.
