摘要： PURPOSE:To industrially and advantageously obtain the subject derivative which is a synthetic intermediate for L-ascorbic acid-2-sulfate, etc., useful as an anticoagulant, etc., by reacting L-ascorbic acid with acetone in the presence of sulfuric acid. CONSTITUTION:L-Ascorbic acid is allowed to react with acetone (used in an amount of 5-10 times expressed in terms of vol./wt. ratio based on the L-ascorbic acid) in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid (used in an amount of preferably 20% expressed in terms of wt./wt. ratio based on the L-ascorbic acid) preferably at 5-20 deg.C for about 2hr. After completing the reaction, crystals are collected by filtration to afford the objective compound.

摘要： PURPOSE:To produce highly pure tocopheryl retinoate useful as an ingredient for medicines such as gastrointestinal ulcer therapeutic agents and skin disease therapeutic agents or for cosmetics in a high yield, and to enable the employment of a wide range of solvents in the reaction operations. CONSTITUTION:Retinoic acid (vitamin A acid) is reacted with trifluoroacetic anhydride and subsequently with tocopherol. The reaction product is subjected to a hydrolysis condition in the aqueous solution of an aqueous basic substance such as an inorganic base, e.g. NaOH, KOH, Na2CO3 or K2CO3, an organic amine, e.g. dimethylamine, preferably ammonia, and purified. The hardly separable by-product, tocopheryl trifluoroacetate, is selectively hydrolyzed by a simple treatment capable of being performed in the same reaction container as for the esterification reaction without requiring a special installation and device, thus producing the highly pure tocopheryl retinoate in a good yield.

Concretely, in the high-speed liquid chromatography, a mixed solvent of composition rate as in hexane/ isoprophyl alchohol/water = 0.5 - 2/2 - 8/0.5 - 2, especially desirable, hexane/ isopropyl aocolhol/water = 1/4/1 is set down to mobile phase. According to this method, PC in the sample can be analyzed and estimated in the same accuracy as in the quantitative analyzing process by means of TLC, very quickly and irrespective of the presence of an unsaturated bond in a fatty acid part in the PC.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain economically a high-purity milo coloring matter, by treating a milo coloring matter-contg. substrance with an aq. alkali soln. and adjusting the pH of the resulting aq. extract contg. said coloring matter to selectively precipitate it and to remove water-soluble impurities. CONSTITUTION:Milo gluten or a milo coloring matter-contg. substance obtd. by treating it, is added to an aq. caustic alkali soln. having a concn. of 0.1% or higher, pref. 2-10% in an amount of at least 5 times, pref. at least 7 times that of the milo gluten. Extraction is conducted at 45 deg.C or higher, pref. 55- 65 deg.C for 0.5-3.0hr. After extraction, the gluten is removed by filtration or centrifugal separation to obtain a reddish brown extract. The pH of the extract is adjusted to 4 or lower, pref. 1-3 by the adddition of an inorg. acid such as conc.hydrochloric acid. The milo coloring matter is separated as a precipitate. Then a sodium carbonate soln. having a concn. of 0.2% in an amount of 5- 10 times that of the extract is added thereto. Extraction is conducted by heating the mixture at 80 deg.C for an hour. After extraction, the pH of the extract is adjusted to 3 with an inorg. acid to obtain the milo coloring matter.
