摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance the safety and the efficiency of conveyance by locating a pressure-proof tank on a muck conveying fluid passage extending from a chamber to a shield rear room so as to convey muck up to the ground surface together with conveying fluid on flowing. CONSTITUTION:In order to carry out fluid conveyance of muck produced by a ground pressure type excavation as is carried out a conventional method, it is carried out irrespective of a particle size and a moisture content of the muck. In this case, during the conveyance of muck, the volume of the muck is detected in a particle unit by an excavating volume detecting device 12 and a flowmeter 12b in order to precisely measure the volume. Further, a pressure- proof tank 10 is located on a muck conveying fluid passage 11 so that the muck is conveyed up to the ground surface, being accompanied with conveying fluid on flowing through the passage 11.

The rear end of the cylinder 10 is led from the wall 4 to the inside of the rear new buried pipe T2 through a hole 51 piercing the front side of the wall B and the cylinder 10. Excavation can thus be made without any influence by the flow of sewage.

Accordingly, the diameter of a tunnel during excavation is contracted smoothly from its midway, and excavation is continued, thus constructing the tunnel, in which the sectional diameter is changed.

CONSTITUTION:An outer segment ring 10 and an inner segment ring 20 which is housed in such a fashion that it may turn about its axis, are build-up in double structure. In this case, a first window hole 11 and a second window hole 21 are installed to the inner segment 10 and the outer ring segment 20 respectively. The first window hole 11 is closed by turning the inner ring segment 10. A branch shield machine 30 is launched by opening the first window hole 11, thereby excavating a branch tunnel. When opening the first window hole 11, the inner segment ring 10 is turned with the second window hole 21 closed with a branch shield machine 30. This construction makes it possible to prevent the collapse of fallen around by allowing the machine 30 close to the fallen ground to receive the earth and earth pressure outside the first window hole 11 and keep the underground not exposed in the pit.

The segment ring is assembled completely, and excavation is performed while extending the propulsive jack 60 and the propulsive jack 70 again. When expansion pressure is increased extremely, the propulsive jack 60 is contracted and excavation is executed while retreating the cutter face 21 or the cutter face 21 is backed at a fixed distance and excavation is conducted again.

摘要： PURPOSE:To perform excavation work without stopping the flow of sewage by a method in which through holes are formed in the tip of a preceding partition wall and a cylinder to lead from partition wall on the back side of a cutter disc to the rear part of the partition wall on the rear end of a cylinder, and sewage flow in the existing pipe is led to a newly set pipe. CONSTITUTION:Existing pipes T1 are broken and removed in order by a shield excavator A and segments are assembled in order in an excavated tunnel by the excavator A to build up a new set pipe T2. A cylinder 10 is led from the center of a cutter disc 3 to the inside of the pipe T1. As the excavation proceeds, the cylinder 10 is connected with a preceding partition wall B to partition the pipe T1 on the front side of the excavator A. The rear end of the cylinder 10 is passed through the wall 4 on the back of the disc 3 to enable sewage dammed by the wall B to flow to the pipe T2. Excavation can thus be performed without stopping flow.
