摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the heat shift to the hub for the magnetic disk device which decreases the temperature difference between disks and thus reducing the position shift of the recording track. CONSTITUTION:Heat insulating material 6 is inserted between magnetic disk 10 on the lowest surface and hub 3. Material 6 is formed with the material such as the high-molecular material, ceramics and the like which features much smaller heat conductivity than the aluminum material used normally for the disk. Otherwise, such heat insulating material can also be used that features an extremely small area of the contact part to hub 3 or magnetic disk 1 with the heat conductivity not so small for component 6 itself. In other words, projection 7 is provided to component 6 at the contact part to the contact surface of hub 3. And the number of projection 7 is set to three at least on a circumference of the turning direction of hub 3, thus keeping the steady relative position between disk 1 and hub 3.

摘要： PURPOSE:To remove the damage due to dust for the floating head and magnetic disc, by avoiding the mixture of outer air in the schraud at all times, through the additional provision of sub-blower which is of small size and low in power consumption. CONSTITUTION:At the operation of the main blower 1, the air removing dust by the filter 4 flows in the shroud 5, it passes through the surrounding of the disc 6 and the positioner 7, and it is discharged from the exhaust 8. Next, when the disc 6 stops revolution, the selection valve 3 is operated, the flow path from the main blower 1 is shut, the path from the sub-blower 2 is open, and the sub-blower 2 is simultaneously run. Thus, the air pressure in the shroud 5 is increased by a slight amount against external air to avoid the invasion of external air from fine clearance of the joint of the shroud 5 and the bearing.

By using the positioning devices with selection, data can continuously be written in the magnetic disc 1.

摘要： PURPOSE:To promote the heat dissipation of the base and thus increase the positioning accuracy of the head, by providing a heat dissipator to the base existing between the driving mechanism part and the magnetic disk group. CONSTITUTION:Heat dissipator 12 is provided at the joint part of upper case 1 and base 2. Dissipator 12 is made of the material having a high heat conductivity and connected to base 2 thermally. And dissipator 12 extends surrounding the lower part of the magnetic disk group, and has flange part 13 protruding inside and outside magnetic disk group storing room 5. Case 1 is made of the heat insulator in order to increase the heat retaining effect. As a result, the temperature difference between the upper and lower magnetic disks can be reduced down to half or less of the conventional difference.

摘要： PURPOSE:To release a sticking state without damaging a magnetic disk face and magnetic head face by simultaneously starting the driving of a magnetic disk and magnetic head, detecting the start of the rotation of the magnetic disk and stopping the driving of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic head 6 and magnetic disk 1 are in sticking state this sticking state can easily be released by simultaneously performing the driving of the magnetic head 6 and magnetic disk 1. On completion of the release the magnetic disk 1 starts its rotation by being driven by the spindle motor 3 for driving and the magnetic head 1 starts its movement in the radial direction of the magnetic disk 1 by being driven by a driving voice coil motor 8. A rotation detection circuit 11, then, detects the rotation of the spindle motor 3 immediately, its detection signal as given to the driving circuit of the voice coil motor 8 for driving the magnetic head and the feed of current is stopped. The sticking state can thus be released without giving any damage to the magnetic head 6 and disk 1.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a storage device which contains a signal circuit system and is free from faults due to the disconnection of a signal line, etc., by using a photoisolator to connect a traveling object and the fixed side. CONSTITUTION:A memory medium 1 is rotated by a spindle motor 2 and a magnetic head 3 serves as a storage device consisting of a carriage 6 which is positioned at an optional place on the medium 1 by a stepper 4 and a belt 5, a circuit 7 set on the carriage 6, a photodiode 8, a phototransistor 9 set in opposition to the photodiode 8, a bracket 10 which supports the transistor 9, a cable 11 through which power is supplied to the circuit 7, and a base 12 respectively. A photocoupler 13 consists of the photodiode 8 and the phototransistor 9. The signal of the head 3 is transmitted by the coupler 13 and only the cable 11 receives fatigue caused by the shift of the carriage 6. Thus the signal of the head 3 is relieved from the fatigue lifetime.

In this way, when starting rotation of the magnetic disk 1, a tension exerts on a gimbal 6, and it serves for preventing adhesion damage, and stabilizing the behavior of the magnetic head 3 of the CSS time.

CONSTITUTION:Data written on a disc 1 by a head 3 is read out by the same head 3 and is sent to a read error detecting part 11 through a read waveform processing part 10. Data is sent to a computer 12 if read error is not detected (NO), but the total number of errors of this data is conted by an offset number counting part 30 if read error is detected (YES). If this number N is smaller than a prescribed value M, an offset operation circuit 13 performs the operation. If the number N exceeds the value M, data is stored temporarily in a memory 14 and is written on the disc 1 through a rewrite circuit 15 by the head 3. This operation is performed in the steady state.

By this method, a discrepancy of positioning the heads 2a-2c due to pitching of the carriage 4 can be restored.
