CONSTITUTION:When there is the response of the ID code from a remote telephone set within the prescribed time after the ID code including the information of the capability of a self telephone set is transmitted to a remote side from a CPU 11, the ordinary picture data is transmitted and when there is no response, the CPU 11 reads the picture data of a picture memory 16 and transmits. Consequently, even when the telephone set of the remote side is a telephone set having no capability to respond to the ID code, the specific type of the picture data can be transmitted. Therefore, the picture data through a message telephone, a transfer telephone can be transmitted and the picture data can be transmitted to a television telephone set having no capability to deliver the IC code.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the density and sharpness of a transferred image using a thermally sublimating recording medium by providing a metallic deposite layer on the surface of a base material and then a thermally sublimating ink layer on the surface of the metallic deposite layer. CONSTITUTION:A metallic deposite layer is provided on a base material, and a thermally sublimating ink layer is provided on the surface of the metallic deposite layer. The base material may be one having an adequate heat resistance and mechanical strength. For instance, papers such as tracing paper are suitably used. The metallic deposite layer can be prepared by an ordinary deposition means using aluminum, zinc, silver, etc. and the preferable thickness of the layer is 1mum or less. The thermally sublimating ink layer is a composition consisting of a thermally sublimating dye, a bonding agent, a softening agent, etc. and is formed by applying a paint by a hot melt technique or by resolving or dispersing it in an appropriate solvent. The thermal sublimating recording medium is provided with a metallic deposite layer interposed in the laminated structure. Therefore, the dye which is sublimated from the thermally sublimating ink layer is prevented from shifting to the base material by the metallic deposite layer. Consequently almost all the sublimated part of the thermally sublimating dye shifts to a receptor without being absorbed into the base material to form a transferred image.

The CPU8 detects the ceasing of the signal and knows that the opposite part answers, and turns off the connection detection relay 14 and connects a switch 12 to a modem 17 to start a communication.

摘要： PURPOSE:To record an image having variations in both resolution and gradation by using a single head, by using a row of heatint elements in such a form as to provide a resolution equal to a natural number times of the least common multiple of resolutions for which the head is to be used in common, in a thermal recording method for recording a gradation image. CONSTITUTION:According to this invention, a thermal recording head 8 comprises a row of heating elements 7 which are arranged in accordance with the desired printing and in such form as to provide a resolution equal to m (m is a natural number larger than 1) times of the least common multiple of the resolutions for which the head 8 is to be used in common. When the highest of said resolutions is equal to the least common multiple of them, the elements 7 is so arranged as to provide a resolution equal to n (n is a natural number larger than 1) times of the highest resolution. In addition, a gradation recording is performed by combining a gradation presenting means based on 3-level density and that based on regulation of dot area factor. Accordingly, by using a single thermal recording head, images of different resolutions can be recorded and a gradation image having at least 5 gradation levels can be obtained stably and easily. The number of dots for one picture element is selected by a resolution selecting circuit 2 in accordance with the resolution, and a plurality of gradation patterns of the same gradation are selected by a gradation pattern generating circuit 3 using random numbers.
