    • PURPOSE:To enhance the rigidity of mechanism and to improve its high-speed responsiveness, by adding up the displacement of a plurality of a solid state actuators for output. CONSTITUTION:A displacement magnifying mechanism C is composed of a base 10, three hollow cylindrical actuators 11-13 different in diameter and axially displaceable, cylindrical connective members 14-15 having flanges at the upper part on the outside and at the lower part on the inside, and an output member 16 to connect the parts to be positioned to the base 10. The actuator 11 is connected in turns between the base 10 and the flange on the upper part on the outside of the external connective member 14, while the actuator 12 is connected between the flange on the lower part on the inside of the connective member 14 and the flange on the upper part on the outside of the internal connective member 15, and so on sucessively connected. Thus, when the voltage is applied to each actuator 11-13, the displacement is so added up that the output member 16 expands three times as much as the single actuator of the same height and the displacement can be magnified.

    • PURPOSE:To detect mixing of air to helium with high accuracy by having a temperature resistance changing element in a magnetic disk container, and providing an external output terminal to connect to it. CONSTITUTION:In a container 2 of a helium sealing type magnetic disk device 1, a temperature resistance changing element 5 is arranged, and both edges of the temperature resistance changing element 5 are pulled out to the container 2 through an external output terminal 6 fitted at the airtight condition. The temperature resistance changing element 5 is sufficient when it is in the sealed helium atmosphere, and therefore, the element may be arranged at any place in the container 2, the small element is easily available and can be assembled without changing the standard of the present magnetic disk device. For both temperature resistance changing elements, when the same electric current is supplied, the difference occurs at the terminal voltage in the helium and in the air. Consequently, by calibrating the difference voltage beforehand corresponding to the mixing ratio of the air to the helium, the mixing ratio of the air can be measured with a sufficient accuracy.
