    • PURPOSE:To enhance the safety and reliability by interrupting a DC power supply output only when the human body mistakenly touches an output line or during the occurrence of power leakage in a power supply system. CONSTITUTION:Voltage detection means 32 is installed between a converting circuit 20 and its circuit breaker 21 for input, and the normal state of the input voltage is detected by the closing of both + and - contacts of the circuit breaker 21. By this detection, a relay contact 34 between the mid-point of capacitors 22 and 23 and earth 5 is closed, and a current-carrying circuit for absorbing noise and surge is made effective. By doing this, any stray current flowing to current detection means 14 due to the time delay between both the contacts of the circuit breaker 21 can be prevented without using labor, and the current detection means 14 can interrupt a circuit breaker 13 for the output from a DC power supply 10 only when an actual ground fault or the like including the operating period of the circuit breaker 21 has occurred. Also, resistors 30 and 31 are connected in parallel to the capacitors 22 and 23 in order to prevent the stray current flowing when the values the capacitors 22 and 23 are unbalanced, thereby also preventing erroneous operation in detecting ground fault or the like.

    • PURPOSE:To control the output of a DC power generating device to maximum output electric power at all times by varying by varying the output voltage of the DC power unit of another system which feeds electric power to a load exceeding the capacity of the DC power generating device. CONSTITUTION:When the output electric power P1 of the DC power generating device increases above set electric power, an output voltage detection signal S2 becomes larger than a set electric power signal S3 and the signal S4 of a differential operational amplifier 11 increases. Consequently, the duty ratio of the output pulse width of a pulse width converter 13 becomes large and the output voltage V2 and output electric power P2 of a DC power unit 5 increase through a driving circuit 14. Consequently, the output electric power P1 of the DC power generating device 1 decreases. When the output electric power P1 of the DC power generating device decreases below the set electric power, the reverse phenomenon is caused. The output electric power P of the DC power generating device 1 becomes equal to the set electric power at all times.

    • PURPOSE:To narrow the range of change in operating frequency in relation to load current by connecting the 2nd serial resonant circuit in parallel to the terminal on the AC side of an output rectifying circuit and by selecting the resonant frequency thereof to be lower than that of the 1st serial resonant circuit. CONSTITUTION:To the 1st resonant circuit connecting serially a capacitor 4 for resonance, a reactor 3 for resonance and the terminal on the AC side of the rectifying circuit 5 and to the terminal on the AC side of the rectifying circuit 5 of the serial resonant converter consisting of switching elements S1 and S2 and of DC power sources 1 and 2 is connected serially the 2nd resonant circuit 10 consisting of a reactor 11 and a capacitor 12, and the resonant frequency thereof is selected to be lower than that of the 1st resonant circuit. Therefore, the range of the change in the operating frequency in relation to the load current becomes narrow, whereby the output voltage can be controlled by slightly changing the operating frequency and the serial resonant converter can be operated outside an audio region.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a power converting equipment capable of stably continuing the operation of a fuel cell without stopping the power supply to other unit after one of the units fails, in the case where the power is being supplied with multiple outputs from the output of the fuel cell. CONSTITUTION: A DC load 5 is connected to the output of a fuel cell 1 through a DC converting equipment 3, and also an AC load 4 linked with a commercial power supply 6 is connected through an AC power converting equipment 2 having an AC converting section 20, a linked reactor 22, a circuit breaker 21, an anomaly detecting section 23, a protecting & controlling circuit 24 and a drive circuit 25. An input overvoltage preventing circuit 26 comprising a high- speed opening type short-circuit switch 264 connected in parallel to a reverse- current preventing diode 263 is connected to the input side of the AC power converting equipment 2. Accordingly, any rise in the output voltage of the fuel cell 1 can be prevented thereby permitting power supply from the fuel cell 1 to a DC converting equipment 3 even when the AC power converting equipment 2 stops.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve small size and low cost as well as to utilize fuel cells more efficiently in a DC powder supply system having powder supply units having fuel cells, etc., as input, which are connected in parallel with power units receiving AC power by suppressing the influence of the output ripple on the input side of the power supply unit. CONSTITUTION:The input power of the power supply unit 20 is detected, a switching signal is generated by a voltage control circuit 8 so as to make the input power equal to the set input power and the switching circuit 10 of the power supply unit 20 is controlled using this signal thereby controlling the input power at a constant value. Consequently, the fluctuations in the input voltage and current of the power supply unit 20 due the low frequency ripple voltage and current of the rectifier are eliminated, the output power of the fuel cells 1 is made constant thereby preventing the deterioration of the cells. In addition, by making the target input power equal to the maximum output of the fuel cells, the efficiency of the fuel cells 1 is increased. Further, by eliminating the input power variations, capacitors of large capacitance for protecting the fuel cells become unnecessary thereby making the unit smaller in size and lower in cost.
