    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure of a soil retaining panel and improve the ease of use by fixing a binding plate at a position where a groove opening in an end part of a vertical beam having a groove fixed on fringes on both sides of a face plate is blocked and providing a connection pin of upper and lower panels in an end part of the vertical beam by utilizing the binding plate. SOLUTION: Vertical beams 1, 1 are fixed in the vertical direction along fringes on both sides of an inner face of a face plate which is formed in such a manner that it has the same size and shape as a soil retaining panel and a plurality of horizontal reinforcing rigid members 2 are fixed in parallel across an interval in the right and left directions and in the vertical direction between the vertical beams 1, 1 on the right and left. The vertical beam 1 is provided with a groove 16 of which front is opened in the vertical direction, and a binding plate 4 is fixed at a position where an opening of the groove 16 in an upper end part and a lower end part is blocked by welding. A connection pin 7 which connects soil retaining panels which are accumulated in the vertical direction is provided in such a manner that it faces up or down in at least one part of the upper end part and the lower end part of the vertical beam 1 by utilizing the binding plate 4. The connection pin 7 is inserted into the groove 16, and a set screw 6 is inserted into a through hole 4a in a condition in which a stopper comes into contact with an end face of the vertical beam 1 and is screwed in a screw hole of the connection pin 7.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the end part from being drawn out from a support or waling, in a sheathing/timbering structure of an excavated groove in which an expandable cut beam having two perpendicular turning shafts on its base end is installed between opposite supports and/or walings, when it is lifted upwards for retreating after it has been installed on the upper part of the walings. SOLUTION: The base end of a cut beam 20 is provided with an inserting plate 28, and a support 10 or a waling is provided with one or at least two inserting fittings 11, and the inserting plate 28 is inserted into the inserting fitting 11 in the required position for locking the cut beam 20. The inserting fitting 11 is provided to the waling support member 14 of the support 10, or it can be provided to a frame that is slidable along the waling member, or it can be directly fixed to the waling member. Further, the inserting fitting 11 may be provided to the waling support member 14 whose fixing position to s sheet pile is vertically adjustable. The inserting direction of the inserting plate 28 may be made to be not only vertical, but also horizontal.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency in execution of work by a method wherein a sheathing panel is formed with jack connecting members and distance adjustment members provided at both ends of face plates attached to the surface and the reaverse side of skelton frames formed into a gridlike shape, and the panels are heaped up along a side wall of an excavated trench. SOLUTION: Skelton frames 1' and 2' are attached in a gridlike shape to a space formed by vertical beams 1 and horizontal beams 2 and face plates 3 are stuck to the surface and the reverse side of the skelton frames while jack connecting members 4, distance adjustment members 5, projected fitting members 6 and the like are provided at both ends of the face plates, and thereby an edge-equipped sheathing panel 10 is formed. The sheathing panels 10 in plural numbers are installed in heaping-up at a side wall of an excavated trench for laying potable water pipes, sewer pipes or the like therein. On installation, recessed fitting members of the sheathing panel that comes to the upper tier are fitted onto the projected fitting members 6 at both ends, and both of the panels are connected together with pins or the like inserted through pin holes 6a. The sheathing panels are heaped up similarly until they get to a specified height equivalent to the depth of the trench. Therefore, the structure is simplified for the sheathing panel while the number of component parts therefor is reduced, making manufacture and transport easy. Thereby, sheathing work can be executed efficiently.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify structure and to make manufacture and execution of work easy by a method wherein channel steels or the like are fixed to both ends of a sheathing plate protecting a side wall of an excavated trench while a reinforcement member is fixed at the center, and vertical frames are formed therewith while the sheathing plates are being heaped up. SOLUTION: Channel steels each having a projected fitting part and a recessed fitting part at its upper and lower part are fixed back to back to both sides of a horizontal stiffness reinforcing member (sheathing plate) 2 made up of a beltlike steel plate or the like by bend-forming, and a reinforcement member 1' made from a channel steel is fixed at the center. The sheathing plates 2 in plural numbers are installed in heaping-up at a side wall of an excavated trench for laying portable water pipes, sewer pipes or the like therein, and thereby a sheathing panel 10 is formed. With the shathing plates 2 heaped up on installation, the projected parts and the recessed parts of the channel steels on both sides are fitted together and a vertical beam 1 is formed thereby while the reinforcement members 1' at the center are connected together to form a vertical beam. Connecting parts of the channel steels are fixed with pins or connecting metal fixtures. The structure of the sheathing plate 2 is simplified while the number of component parts are reduced, making manufacture and transport easy. Thereby, sheathing works can be executed efficiently.
