摘要： PURPOSE:To detect a cover damage position accurately, by using a reference signal with the frequency the same as that of an AC signal for measurement when a ground surface potential difference is measured employing a wheel electrode. CONSTITUTION:A receiver 7 with a wheel electrode 8 is placed on the surface of ground where a metal pipe 2 provided with an anti-corrosion cover 1. An AC signal current runs is supplied by a measuring signal transmitter 6 between the metal pipe 2 and an opposed pole 5, and a potential difference is measured between two points on the ground surface with the wheel electrode 8 moving along the metal pipe 2 to be inputted into a detection signal input section of a lock-in amplifier 9. A signal with the frequency the same as that of an AC signal current is supplied from a reference signal oscillator 10 to a reference signal input section of the lock-in amplifier 9. After a noise signal with the frequency different from that of the reference signal is removed from a detection signal and changes in the phase are detected to learn the position of a cover damage part. This enables elimination of a wire for reference signal transmission thereby facilitating the detection of a damage position regardless of a longer distance between the transmitter 6 and the receiver 7.

摘要： PURPOSE:To detect the tip position of the propulsion tube easily with high precision by receiving acoustic wave signals from transmitters in longitudinal holes bored in the ground surface successively by a receiver provided to the tip of the propulsion tube, and detecting the position of the receiver from the arrival time of the signals. CONSTITUTION:A mud shield type drilling machine 8 is connected to the tip part of the propulsion tube 1 which is propelled in the ground under a road 7 with a bottom pressing jack 6 in an originating pit 5. The receiver 2 is fixed to the upper part of the steel-made cylindrical main body 16 of the drilling machine 8. Three longitudinal holes 20A-20C are bored in the ground at one side part of the road 7 at intervals in the lengthwise direction of the road and three longitudinal holes 20D-20F are also bored in the ground at the other side. Transmitters 21A-21F are put in the respective longitudinal holes 20A-20F and water or mud 22 is injected, and the respective transmitters are connected to the transmission part of a transmitter 23 installed on the ground. Further, the receiver 2 is connected to a signal processor 24 through a cable 25 for reception.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable easy detection of the position of the top end of a propelling pipe on the underground horizontal plane with high accuracy by measuring the plane distribution of the varying intensities of receiving signals and knowing the existence of a transmitter right under the receiver which receives the strong radio wave. CONSTITUTION:The transmitter 2 for the radio wave signal is provided to the top end of the propelling pipe 1. The receiver group consisting of the many receivers 3 disposed in a way as to have plane spread is installed on the ground and the radio wave signal transmitted to right above from the transmitter 2 is received by the above-described receiver group. The plane distribution of the varying intensities of the receiving signals is measured and the existance of the transmitter 2 right under the receiver which receives the strong radio wave signal is known. The position of the top end of the pipe 1 on the underground horizontal plane is thus easily detected with high accuracy even if the pipe 1 is propelled curvilinearly, by which the need for drilling a hole to the ground and installing the receiver therein is eliminated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To detect an oscillator by providing the oscillator to the tip part of a propulsion tube, receiving an acoustic wave signal from the oscillator by a receiver, and calculating the distance between the oscillator and receiver from the time of signal arrival at the receiver. CONSTITUTION:The oscillator 2 and receivers 21A-21F which synchronize with it are arranged across a ground layer and a pulsive acoustic wave signal from the oscillator 2 is transmitted in the ground and received by the receiver 21A, etc., to calculate the arrival time of the acoustic wave signal between the both and also calculate the distance between the two points. Then, the propulsion tube 1 is thrust by proper distance and then three receivers 21A-21B are set at known positions. The arrival time difference of the acoustic wave signal between two known points is measured to calculate the acoustic velocity. The impulse acoustic wave is sent by the oscillator provided atop of the propulsion tube and the distance between the oscillator 2 and each receiver is calculated from the signal arrival time from the oscillator to the receiver.

The receiver 2 is installed on the top of the propulsion tube 1 and the radio wave signal received by the receiver 2 is amplified by an amplifier 12, sent to a signal processor 11 on the ground through a cable run through the propulsion tube 1 and a shaft 7, and displayed on a display device 6. Here, the transmitter 3 sends the impulsive radio wave intermittently while moving nearly at right angles to the axis of the propulsion tube 1. At this time, the value of the movement distance is obtained from the number of turns of the tires of the carriage 14 and sent to the processor 11. The process of transmission and reception is repeated to obtain a measurement result. Thus, the propulsion tube is detected with high accuracy.
