      SOLUTION: In a segment 2, main spars 22 adjacent to each other in the tunnel axial direction are connected to each other via an end plate 25, bearing plates 24 are provided at the tips of the main spars, and bearing flanges 23 are formed continuously in the tunnel peripheral direction on the upper and lower sides of the main spars 22. In a segment 3, main spars 22 which are adjacent to each other in the tunnel axial direction are connected to each other via an end plate 25, flange steel plates 31 are disposed to connect the upper and lower sides between the main spars 22 to form a hollow closed section, and bearing plates 24 are provided at the tips of the main spars 22. The main spars 22 of one segment 2 are loosely fitted with a gap to absorb construction errors between the main spars 22 of the segment 3.       SOLUTION: The width-spread section of the tunnel is constructed by removing a part of mutually facing portions of the two or more existing tunnel segment rings which are adjacent to each other, and connecting a newly constructed inner structure to the remaining segments. In a cross section of the tunnel width-spread portion, the segment ring structure is formed of the plurality of segments in the single segment ring, and the removed segment 1 is different in structure from the remaining segment 2. Further, at the time of formation of the segment rings, appropriate strength is imparted to each of the segments, corresponding to a location in the tunnel.
