    • PURPOSE:To hold the rate of solidification of molten iron in a mold as uniform as possible by feeding the molten metal from the plural nozzle pipes arranged in parallel along the outlets punched in array to a header pipeline to the mold and adjusting the coarseness of the nozzle pipe arrangement. CONSTITUTION:The molten iron received in a header pipeline 3 is fed to a mold via the plural nozzle pipes 2 which communicate with the outlets 5 punched in array to the pipeline 3 and are arranged in parallel along the outlets 5. The coarseness of the pipe 2 arrangement is adjusted along with this feeding, whereby the distribution of the feed rate to each part in the mold is adjusted and the solidifying speed of the molten iron is made as uniform as possible. Namely, only the amount that can solidify is successively fed in response to the solidifying of the molten iron in the mold, and therefore, the space between the nozzle pipe 2 ends and the solidification line of the molten iron is maintained at an approximately straight line from both end edge parts up to the central part. Hence, the material over the entire surface of the striplike ingot is maintained uniformly over each part and since the entire surface is pressurized uniformly, there is no possibility for bulging at all.

    • PURPOSE:To supply molten iron of equal equality, equal temp. and equal amount over the entire width of a mold by feeding the molten iron to a horizontal header pipeline which is communicating with the tuyere of a storage tank and is othogonal thereto, and further feeding the same to the plural tubular nozzles arrayed orthogonally below the header pipeline. CONSTITUTION:Molten metal discharged from a storage tank tuyere 1 is sent to a header pipeline 2 disposed horizontally orthogonally to this. Next, the molten iron received by the pipeline 2 is fed to the plural tubular nozzles 3 installed horizontally and parallelly through the plural header outlets 4 punched horizontally orthogonally to this pipeline 2 below the pipeline 2. As a result, the molten iron is fed at equal flow speed and bath temp. from each nozzle 3. In addition, either one or both of the joining part of the trailing end 5 of the tuyere 1 and the leading end 6 of the pipeline 2 and the joining part of the trailing end of the outlet 4 and the leading end 8 of the nozzle 3 are so constituted as to bring into contact with each other cylindrically or spherically. Hence, even if there are slight fluctuations in the mutual contact angle, they always allow to contact in alignment,thus molten metal leakage is prevented. Here, 9 in the figure denotes the slope of the pipeline 2, and 10 the size face of the pipeline 2, respectively.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a vessel for continuous casting and feeding suited for horizontal and inclined continuous casting in particular which is so constituted that the molten iron surface in a molten iron receiving chamber is moved upward by introducing a pressurized gas into the bath surface of a molten iron storage tank and the molten iron is discharged by the difference in height between this and the discharge pipeline. CONSTITUTION:This vessel for continuous casting and feeding of iron has a molten iron storage tank 1 provided with a lead-in and out port 12 for a gaseous pressure regulating gas to the bath surface of molten iron 5. A molten metal receiving chamber 3 which communicates with the storage tank 1 in the upper part and has a molten metal receiving port in the upper part, and single or plural discharge pipe 4 communicating with the storage tank 1 in the lower part and communicating with a feed tuyere 18 in the upper part are provided respectively adjacently to said storage tank. In this constitution, the bath surface 16 of the molten iron 5 is pressurized by the inert gas, such as Ar, introduced 12, whereby the bath surface 17 in the chamber 3 is made higher than the bath surface 16. On the other hand, in the discharge part 2', the top end of the pipeline 4 is made flush with the top end of the tuyere 18. Namely, the molten metal is discharged at a required speed from the tuyere 18 by the difference in height between the bath surface 17 and the centerline height of the tuyere 18.
