摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength of a joint part and to enable to work it in a short time, by metallurgically bonding a low specific gravity metal and a high specific gravity metal with specific values of specific gravity to prepare a different metals composite material and making an upper step main part of a club head be made of a low specific gravity metal and a lower step part including a sole part a high specific gravity metal. SOLUTION: A low specific gravity metal is placed on an upper step and a high specific gravity metal 2 on a lower step, and both are bonded at a bonding part 3. The upper step main part is made of a low specific gravity metal with the specific gravity not higher than 5, and the lower step part including the sole part is constituted of a high specific gravity metal with the specific gravity not lower than 7 metallurgically bonded with the low specific gravity metal 1, and they are cut-worked to form the head. The composite material is cut out from a large plate of the composite material or directly made into a composite block to be a raw material and, further, cut-worked into the head shape. After cut-working, the raw material is roughly ground for adjusting the weight and an intermediate material worked by cutting or attaching of a hosel part 4 is formed.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal wood golf club having a high degree of reliability as to the joint of metal having a high specific weight, and which is mainteance- free and which has a low gravitational center, by metallurgically joining titanium or titanium alloy with high specific weight metal having a specified specific weith so as to form a composite sole plate. SOLUTION: Titanium 7 and stainless steel 8 which is high specific weigh metal having a specific weight higher than 7 are metallurgically joined 9 through explosive contact bonding so as to form a composite sole plate material 6a. This club head 1 is cut and formed into a sole shape of a club head 1, and is then attached to a sole part 5 of the head 1 with the stainless steel 8 facing outside. Further, a titanium layer part 7 of the composite sole plate material 6a is metallurically fixed to the club head body 1 at a position 10 by welding along the entire periphery TIG thereof. The soundness of the joint part can be conformed through nondestructive test such as liquid penetrant test, of the joint part, the swingability and a flying distance and the like can be enhanced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture a Ti material having smooth surface and superior dimensional accuracy with high efficiency, by forming an annular Ti material of square sectional form by means of a ring-rolling mill and by subjecting the resulting ring to cutting and then to straightening. For this purpose, the wall thickness between the inside and outside diameters of the punched material 5 is rolled by using a main roll 1 and a pressure roll 2, and the upper and lower surfaces are rolled by the use of edging rolls 3, 4. After that, the rolled annular Ti square bar is cut by means of sawing, fusing, plasma cutting, etc., and then subjected to warm die forging, roll straightening, or other methods so as to be formed into the Ti square bar.
