    • PURPOSE:To enable guiding shapes tightly by providing two or more lower guide rollers and one or plural upper guide rollers which are respectively arranged one by one between these lower guide rollers in a guiding device which a rolled stock is guided with the upper and lower guide rollers. CONSTITUTION:The upper guide roller 16 and lower guide rollers 17 (17-1, 17-2) with which the web 13 of the rolled stock 1-1 is guided into the roll gap between horizontal rolls 3, 3' are provided and the rolled stock 1-1 is guided with the upper and lower guide rollers. The lower guide rollers 17 consist of plural lower guide rollers 17-1, 17-2 and the upper guide roller 16 is arranged between the lower guide rollers 17-1, 17-2. The upper and lower guide rollers are alternately arranged and not arranged vertically symmetrically. It may be decided in accordance with the bend tendency of material to be rolled in the vertical direction in that rolling process to relatively increase the number of roller on which upper or lower side. In this way, the shapes can be tightly guided without possibility of erroneous rolling, damage of the guiding device or the like.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the web inside dimension of shape steels such as H-shape steels having a web and flanges by on-line working by constructing horizontal rolls of a universal mill so that a roll body width is freely changeable in the axial direction and rolling a rolled stock with a width of the body sequentially expanded during reverse rolling. CONSTITUTION:An upper horizontal roll 41a and a lower horizontal roll 41b are freely movable in the axial direction; a stock 5 to be rolled having a web inside dimension WF shows a section of an intermediate rolled stock; the thickness of a web and flanges of the stock 5 is made to be nearly equal to that of a prescribed product and the web is formed a little thicker web in accordance with a web width expansion amount. In a 1st pass in finish rolling, the stock 5 is spread rolled with a body width WF1 of the upper and lower horizontal rolls 41a, 41b expanded a little larger than the web inside dimension WF. Right and left vertical rolls 6a, 6b retract by an optional distance (t) not to draft a flange faces 5a. In a 2nd pass, the stock 5 is rolled with the body width of the rolls 41a, 41b expanded to the position of imaginary lines WF2. In a 3rd pass, the vertical rolls 6a, 6b are pressed onto the flange faces 5a to eliminate a flange taper theta, to make the angle between the web and flanges rectangular, to correct the shape of the stock 5, and to roll the flanges.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively removing a scale, without conducting mechanical preliminary descaling such as shot blasting or brush grinding before pickling, when removing an oxidized scale generating in a hot rolling or heat treating process of a stainless steel.
      SOLUTION: The pickling method for removing the oxidized scale generating on the surface of the stainless steel, comprises sequentially dipping the stainless steel into a hydrochloric acid solution of 100 g/L or higher in the first pickling tank, an acid solution including fluoric acid of 10 g/L or higher in the second pickling tank, a hydrochloric acid solution of 100 g/L or higher in the third pickling tank, and an acid solution including fluoric acid of 10 g/L or higher in the fourth pickling tank. As required, a compound containing a sulfhydryl group of 0.001 mol/L or more, or amine of 0.001 mol/L or more, can be added into the hydrochloric acid bath; concentration of the fluoric acid bath can be 15-100 g /L for fluoric acid and 50-250 g/L for nitric acid; and chloride ions of 0.1 g/L or more with hydrochloric acid and/or thiocyanate ions of 0.17 g/L or more can be added.

CONSTITUTION:The upper guide roller 16-1 and lower guide roller 17 (17-1, 17-2) with which the web 13 of the rolled stock 1-1 is guided into the roll gap between the horizontal rolls 3, 3' are provided and the rolled stock 1-1 is guided with the upper and lower guide rollers. The lower guide roller 17 consists of plural lower guide rollers 17-1, 17-2 and the upper guide roller 16-1 is arranged between the lower guide rollers 17-1, 17-2. And the upper guide roller 16-1 which is closest to the rolling rolls 3, 3' is supported with a variable supporting device 18-1 which is separate from a supporting device 19-2 for lower guide roller and the upper guide roller 16-1 is vertically moved to a desired position with this variable supporting device 18-1 based on command from position detecting terminal or the like. In this way, the rolled stock is guided to the horizontal rolls with high accuracy and the generation of deviation of web center can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an H-shape steel having a thin web section without generating web cooling waves by providing 1 or >=2 curved web parts formed by rolling in the transverse direction of the web section and disposing flat parts to allow passage of the material to straightener rolls to both sides of the curved parts. CONSTITUTION:The curved web parts 11b are provided to the position corresponding to the central axial line X of the H-shape steel 1. The curved parts are formed by hot rolling to the central part in the transverse direction of the web which is a material to be rolled to form the final product shape. The rigidity of the web parts is thereby increased to increase the yield strength of the web to buckling to the force larger than the internal compressive stress generated in the web in the cooling stage by which the generation of the web cooling waves is prevented. The peripheral face 51a of an upper horizontal roll 5a of a universal finishing mill 5 is formed to a face recessing at the transverse center of the roll barrel in order to shape the projecting face of the curved web part 11b and the peripheral face of the lower horizontal roll 5b is formed to a projecting face. The H-shape steel is thereby formed simply by changing the shape of the horizontal rolls of the universal finishing mill.
