摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the surface scratches of a product and stably manufacture a seamless steel tube excellent in surface quality by rolling a rolled stock continuously as it is supplied to the following stage after the outer surface of the rolled stock is ground in a hot state in conveying after it is passed through a piercing stage or a drawing stage. 摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the generation length of internal surface flaw of a steel tube by rolling while restraining the tip part of a rolling stock ahead of the outlet of roll at the time of rolling the tip part. CONSTITUTION:A square-shaped billet 7 (rolling stock) is inserted between a pair of rolling/driving rolls 5 which are disposed in the opposite direction by adding force in the axial direction. And the billet is pierced by entering a plug 8 into the axial center part of the billet 7. Then, at the time of rolling the tip part, rolling is executed by restraining the tip part of the rolling stock 7 ahead of the outlet of the rolls 5 with a spacer 10. At that time, the position of the tip flange part is detected with a photoelectric tube 13 and, when the signal from the photoelectric tube 13 is received with a signal converter 14, it is decided that the caliber rolls are filled with the piercing stock 7, a signal is sent to a solenoid valve 15, a spacer supporting device 11 is released with a hydraulic cylinder 12 and the restraint of the tip part of the piercing stock is removed. In this way, the amount of cut-down as crops is reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To lessen the generation of inside surface flaws by suppression of the formation of the secondary scale on the inside surface of a steel pipe and the lubricating effect of the oxide of additive metallic powder. CONSTITUTION:The metallic powder having such nature that the powder is easier to oxidize than iron and the formed oxide layers retard the diffusion of iron atoms from the inside of the iron oxide layers is supplied to the inside surface of a steel pipe blank material. The supply rate of the powder is specified from 50 to 500g/m . As a result, the inside surface quality of the steel pipe is improved by the decreased inside surface flaws. Consequently, the effect of improving the yield of rolling and reducing the cost for mending the flaws is expected. The equipment for descaling of the inside surface is saved.

In this way, piercing that makes biting height less than a certain value during rolling can be done and steady operation is possible.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve both the rolling workability and rolled product quality by installing a cooling medium injection tube in a tube stock before rolling after piercing the stock and totally and uniformly cooling the inside surface of the stock in combination with peripheral air cooling effect. CONSTITUTION:A cooling tube body 1 whose peripheral surface has air injection holes 2 is prepared and cooling tube supporting plates 3 are fixed to the periphery of the body 1 at plural positions. The body 1 is inserted into a tube stock 5 pierced by a piercing mill and is placed by fixing a tube end heat insulator 4. Before rolling of the stock 5, cooling air is fed from an air supply source through a tube 6 and the body 1 and an end of the stock 5 is heat insulated by the insulator 4. The cooling air is injected from the injection holes 2 into the stock 5 inside and flows toward the top side and discharges from a discharge hole 7. Thus, temps. of the stock 5 are maintained not higher than the brittle zone temp. even for temp. rising time in rolling. Therefore, brittle zone rolling is avoidable and both the rolling workability and rolled product quality are improved.

The pipe is then tempered at a temp. between 500 deg.C and the Ac1 point to stabilize the quality of the hardened steel pipe, and the desired steel pipe for a thermal well having low relaxation is obtained.
