    • PURPOSE:To easily obtain the titled material as flexible wire materials or foils by filling a solid body in a metal tube, the solid body is obtained with a melted body of ceramics system superconductive materials flown in a blowout current, then heat treating the solid body at below a melting temperature of the ceramics system superconductive materials. CONSTITUTION:When a melted body of ceramics system superconductive materials is flown in a blowout current of gas, liquid, of gas-liquid mixture, the materials are quickly cooled, and a solid body of a homogeneous superconductive material can be obtained. Superconductive characteristics are shown by crystallizing the solid body with a heat treatment made after wire material processing with the solid body filled in a metal tube, or before filled in the metal tube though superconductive characteristics are not shown in as the solid body is as obtained intactly. A heat treatment temperature must be below a melting temperature. A high flexibility of a product wire can be obtained by filling the solid body in the metal tube with a long fiber made to a string or cord state by stranding, and a short fiber made to a cord state, etc., by pressing, or the like.

    • PURPOSE:To easily manufacture a purifier base body in which stainless steel pipes and an external pipe are combined by closely inserting stainless steel pipes filled with easily soluble powder into a heat-resistant steel pipe, reducing the sectional area by hot processing, then, cutting the pipe to a required length and removing the easily soluble powder. CONSTITUTION:A stainless steel belt 1 is formed into a pipe and just after a seam is welded by a welding torch 6, the inside of the steel pipe is packed by a nozzle 8 with easily soluble powder 10. The stainless steel pipes 11 are provided by reducing their diameters with cold milling rolls 9 and pressing the powder. Then, a honeycomb shape is prepared by closely inserting a necessary number of stainless steel pipes for a honeycomb pipe into the heat-resistant pipe 12 for the external pipe. Then, hot processing is given to these pipes to reduce their sectional areas under a quarter of the original and join the stainless steel pipes 11 to each other. Then, they are cut to necessary lengths and the easily soluble powder 10 is melted and removed by chemical or electrochemical treating to obtain the base body for an exhaust gas purifier packed with honeycomb stainless steel pipes 11 having spaces 13 in the heat-resistant pipe 12 for the external pipe.

    • PURPOSE:To continuously cast a cast slab without any surface defect by forming metal in a mold or at position containing the continued position with the mold into a holding range to the molten state and a solidified range and making a thermal conductivities of lining materials and ratios of thicknesses respectively at the two ranges, the specific values. CONSTITUTION:As the continuous casting mold for metal, the water cooled, copper mold 3 lining the copper as main material having cooling mechanism is used. At the time of pouring the molten steel from the pouring nozzle 6, the holding range 1 to the molten state of molten steel and the solidified starting range 2 are developed in the mold 3 and at position containing the continued position with the mold 3. These two ranges 3, 2 have no difference or the range 2 is made to smaller than the range 1 to the inner diameters. At the time of using A1, A2 (cal/cm.sec.K) for the thermal conductivities and t1, t2 (cm) for the thickness of the molten state holding range 1 and the solidified starting range 2 respectively, the conditions of A1/t1 =0.01 have to be satisfied. In this way, the cast slab without any surface defect is obtd. and the product yield is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent cold shut and to reduce hot spot by enlarging gradually sectional area of an introducing pipe-inner face of a mold contacting with solidified part of a cast billet at initial stage toward the drawing direction of cast billet in the continuous introducing pipe-mold composing of non-metallic material. CONSTITUTION:The introducing pipe-mold 6 composing of non-metallic material is used by boron nitride, etc. The sectional area is formed, so as to enlarge from the inlet having inner diameter da for the introducing pipe-mold 8 and the outlet having inner diameter db of drawing direction toward drawing direction. Molten metal 14 is flowed into non-metallic material made introducing pipe-mold 8, through refractory-made introducing pipe 7 set at the lower part side wall of a tundish 5. As the sectional area of introducing pipe-mold 8 is enlarged toward drawing direction, the solidified shell at the initial stage is become to the condition of apart from the inner face of introducing pipe-mold 8, and the molten metal 14 is invaded in the gap and solidified. In this way, the continuous casting with prevention of the cold shut and reduction of the hot spot, is executed.
