    • PURPOSE:To give the forced lubrication on purpose to improve the surface condition of the drawn wire and the fatigue-resisting property, in the drawing work for very thin wire from the hard steel wire material, by introducing the pressured lubricant to a closed vessel holding inside the dies group, so as to keep the vessel full of lubricant, and then, by carrying out the wire drawing work. CONSTITUTION:The lubricant 10 is introduced from the pipe 5 into the closed vessel 2 so as to lubricate the guide roller 3, the wire drawing dies 4 and the capstan 5. When the wire-pass work is ended, the vessel 2 is closed and is filled up with a large quantity of lubricant. Then the lubricant 11 is pressurized to 1-10 kg/cm , and is introduced into the vessel 2, on purpose to carry out the wire drawing work on the material to be drawn, under the forced lubrication. When the specified wire drawing work is finished, the lubricant 10, 11, of the vessel 2 is returned to the lubricant tank, and the wire drawing work for one coil is completed. According to this method, the very thin wire for use of the cabtyre cord, etc., superior in the toughness, the fatigue strength against the rotary bending fatigue, etc., can be manufactured.

    • PURPOSE:To make the production of a roughly-shaped steel for shape steels possible efficiently by utilizing the bulges in the broadside end parts of a slab produced by screwing down a flat slab largely in its width direction. CONSTITUTION:A flat slab 3 is worked to an intermediate rough blank material 4 having guide grooves 10, 10' on the short side faces by means of channel type calibers 1, 1' having projections 2, 2' of the height 0.1-0.28 times the thickness b3 thereof. Next, the bottom width of the caliver with projections 6, 6' is broadside screwed down largely with channel type calibers 5, 5' with projections of b5, whereby it is worked to an intermediate blank material 7 having guide channels 11, 11'. The height of the projections 6, 6' is made roughly the same as that of the projections 2, 2', and part of the enclosing lines of the projections 6, 6' are made >=0.15 times the length of the enclosing lines of the projections 2, 2'. These projections are so formed that the angles formed by the tangents of the enclosing lines and the bottom parts of the calibers are 35-55 deg.. Such material 7 is finish formed as it is with finishing calibers 12, 12' for roughly-shaped steel of the 2nd stage, whereby a desired roughly-shaped steel 13 is produced.

    • PURPOSE:To roll channels having each different web height without rearranging rolls by bisecting upper and lower horizontal rolls freely movably in their axial directions respectively and adjusting the distances between respectively bisected horizontal rolls and between vertical rolls in accordance with the cross-sectional dimensions of a steel shape to be rolled. CONSTITUTION:A steel shape having a web and flanges is finish rolled by an universal mill having upper and lower horizontal rolls and a pair of vertical rolls 11, 12. The upper and lower horizontal rolls are divided respectively into two pairs of horizontal rolls 21, 22, 23, 24 freely movably in their axial directions, and the distances between respective divided horizontal rolls 21, 22, 23, 24 and between the vertical rolls 11, 12 are adjusted respectively in accordance with the cross-sectional dimensions of a steel shape to be rolled, to perfrom finish rolling. Accordingly, innumerable H-beams having each the same flange thickness fF and different web height WF can be manufactured without rearranging the rolls.

    • PURPOSE:To roll the captioned products of good quality efficiently from rectangular slabs by using the roll set which specifies the taper of the upper flange portion of the material to be rolled in an edge shear rolling mill and rolling the material within the specific difference range of the mean drafts of the flange and web in universal rolling. CONSTITUTION:The rough-shape slab obtained through rolling of a rectangular slab in a break-down rolling mill 1 is subjected to two-way rolling of plural passes in the (u) rolling mill set 2 consisting of a universal (U) rolling mill 3 and an edge shear rolling mill 4, whereby it is made to an intermediate product. In the rolling mills 3, 4, the hole die widths for molding and the angles that the taper of the inner side portion of the upper flange and the perpendicular upper line in the web perpendicular line assume are made respectively equal. The roll set having the upper roll shape wherein the perpendicular upward forming angle of the upper flange portion of the upper roll making contact with the upper flange of the material to be rolled is made 40 to 105 deg. and the angle that the taper on the upper flange inner side and the perpendicular line in the web perpendicular upper direction assume is made 15-35 deg. is used for the rolling mill 4. Further, in the rolling mill 3, the rolling is done in a 1-6% range of the mean drafts difference of the flange and web.
