    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas wiping device in a hot-dip metal-plating apparatus, which does not need maintenance comparatively and can stably inhibit an sheet edge from being overcoated, when uniformly adjusting the thickness of a molten metal deposited on the surface of a metallic sheet which has been continuously immersed/passed into/through the molten metal, and raised up to above the free surface of the molten metal, by spraying an air stream from a pair of slit nozzles arranged so as to sandwich the passing metallic sheet.
      SOLUTION: The gas wiping device has a pair of airflow masking shields arranged on the front and back sides of the passing metallic sheet at a distance from the passing metallic sheet, at least in a region close to an edge of the passing metallic sheet, and at positions above, below or above and below the slit nozzle.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the title method to prevent easily creases to be generated at the time of sticking of a resin film or a metallic foil to a steel hoop, by a method wherein at the time of the sticking, a roll round which a resin film or a metallic foil has been wound is pressed directly against the surface of the steel hoop and sent out by synchronizing with a running speed of the hoop. CONSTITUTION:A metallic foil coil 24 obtained by winding a metallic foil 14 round a shaft center 23 is mounted directly on a steel hoop 2 to which a resin film 13 has been stuck, an air cylinder 25 is fitted to the shaft center 23, and the metallic foil coil 24 is pressed against the surface of the steel hoop 2 with air pressure. At the time of sticking of the metallic foil 14 to the surface of the hoop 2, freedom is not allowed to the metallic foil 14 a space up to the surface of the hoop 2 from the metallic foil coil 24. Therefore, the metallic foil 14 is sent to the surface of the hoop 2 by keeping a state, where the metallic foil coil 24 is pulled, as it is. The resin film 13 possesses characteristics of contracting and extending a little more as compared with the metallic foil 14. Thus the resin film 13 is sent directly to the surface of the hoop 2 from a, coiled state so as not to generate expansion and contraction on the rein film 13. With this construction, the resin film 13 and metallic foil 14 can be stuck to the hoop 2 without creases.
